Is tapas friendly for new writers?

I'm fairly new to Tapas. I used to write on Wattpad, but well, it was hard to get noticed there. I was wondering if Tapas is friendly to new writers without audience yet? I read a similar question before, but it was a thread from years ago. So, I'm wondering if it's any different now. I would appreciate an insight on this matter. Thank you in advance!

Yes, it is. I got way more attention there than I did on Royal Road. Even got featured twice.

Tapas is friendly, yep. People are fun to discuss with and they support your work. I made friends already and it's just been 2 weeks.

But you will not get the readership people in Wattpad used to get 2-3 years ago. As long as the story was updating regularly, they saw a steady rise in readership even reaching to a million (I personally saw one story get there). Since this site is new and Wattpad is crashing down like crazy, you'll find yourself in a restless middle place where readers are comparatively scarce on both sites.

BUT. I see potential in this site. Like @mcarrowolga mentioned, the community is interactive and pays attention. Over time, I'm hoping Tapas to flourish.

You're not the only one that jumped from Wattpad to Tapas. During the summer when the Wattpad forums shut down a lot of people just from Wattpad to Tapas.

But to answer your question yes Tapas is friendly to newcomers and assist anyone here with questions about writing, drawing, or XD random stuff that will make you laugh.

My first novel had single-digit subscribers after a few dozen episodes, until it got featured as a staff pick. Which mostly translated to about 50 subscriptions and a bunch of reads on the first episode.

My second novel has been updated regularly for a week. No one has read past the second episode.

But you'd probably be writing something people want to read, so you'd have more success.
