Hey guys I'm laying out a short comic that is really tall so I decided to try something I've not personally done yet and make it mobile format. Thing is, there's a lot of different sizes of mobile devices, and I'm not sure how it would look on the different devices. Sometimes websites give you the option to see your page in different sizes of mobile phone before you publish but like...tapas hasn't done that yet, for some bizarre reason. (Tapas really needs a way to make a drafts function, honestly ((or if drafts indeed exist, please tell me, I usually just schedule a post for three weeks in the future in lieu of a draft)) )
So, what I was wondering, is if there is a site or a firefox add-on that you guys use where you can test how legible your comics are with different sizes of devices? And if you don't use that, how small do I really need to go? (and I notice that a lot of mobile comics have a huuuuuuge amount of white space between frames, and it seems super unintentional and happens because every mobile device is different lengths, and I want to avoid that happening, which means I need to...test it first)
I would love it if I could just tell Tapas to load a different version of my comic if they're looking at an ipad size versus an itty bitty android so I wouldn't need to use like 12 pt font, but do I really need to go as small as a 3 inch wide phone, or can I assume people with those phones don't really read comics as often? (because I have a smaller phone and I just never bother with webcomics on it.)
I already know it should be published at like 900 px wide, but I'm more concerned about how small it's going to be reduced to (since that means I should just never add fine details if they disappear on a 3 inch phone.) So, what's your opinions?
