Is your favorite OC the main character? Explain!

From Jack and the Beanstalk, Otto the lumberjack is my favorite character because of his fun yet heroic personality; but he's more a deuteragonist rather than the protagonist. Still, he is the main character of some parts of the story focused on him.

She is not the main character, but definitly one of the more prominent characters of the story. Her name is Aya. Despite being both the "immovable object" and the "irresistible force" with a short fuse and despite sometimes being a snappy sarcastic comedic relief, she can be a gentle giant with a lot of depth that genuinely cares for her friends and even becomes the MC´s moral anchor.

I love my main OC's like they're my kids and minor characters too, but writing Erik hurts the most, because he's so tragic. Like, makes sense tragic, not just self pitying or emo.
Circumstances beyond his control has made him into who he is, Past trauma has left him damaged. Guy got so many virtues (principled, fastidious, responsible, organized, caring) but everyone reads them as vices. He's an INTJ with OCD and comes from another culture, really has a hard time making friends. Doesn't wanna be there. Makes the best of what he got. Truly an ice prince, too smart for his own good.
From my writing you could think I hate him because I'm so cruel to him, he tries the hardest, gets nothing in return.
Tragic but beautiful and pure guy, truly.
