Well, mine is read right to left, however it doesn't use any sound effects, at least not yet. It's... a bit different in shading too.

My situation is a little different since my comic is much more closely related to Korean webcomics than Japanese manga. Your question could easily be converted to accommodate the differences, though.

I'm using the vertical scroll format, which is the norm for Korean webcomics; in addition, more than half of its dialogues are officially in Korean (although I upload an English version on Tapastic, a good portion of it HAS been written in Korean and are even better read in Korean in some cases).

Right to left? No. (note that Korean webcomics are not read right to left, either; they read left to right, just like English)
Vertical scroll? Yes
Korean SFX? Not in the English version.
I never really liked reading SFX translations in the gutter, personally.

MMm, HERO.SYN is read right to left. I don't use japanese SFX though - I don't know which one to use and I might accidentally use the wrong one for the situation ^^;;

i didn't either, so i switched to english in chapter three of my manga! but i cudn't freely use english SFXs, so i learned the japanese katakana alphabets (the alphabet set that is used in manga, japanese has like 3 sets of alphabets) and did a lot of research, now i can use japanese sfxs without fear of using the wrong ones
note: the japanese sfxs in mangas won't make sense in the beginning (because they don't really mean anything)

try learning them, that is if you wish to use japanese sfxs
