Job shadowing for a day

AS part of my graduation I need to job shadow someone in the career which I chose which is an artist. IS there anyone who makes money from their comics that I could be an assistant for for a day. Basically you can just have me do sketches and stuff for you, and I'll have you sign a paper to confirm I worked with you.

You should probably see if there are any artists you could work with locally. If you know anyone through school or your family who works in a creative field that would be a good place to start.

If you're specifically looking for a cartoonist, maybe see if someone will let you be their colorist for the day and give you feedback on your work. I think expecting people to let you do sketches for them might be unrealistic. I know during my art internship I spent a lot of time setting up files, scanning, and doing flat colors than doing any drawing.

I agree with @Kaykedrawsthings you might want to also check with local comicbook stores. Many of them host artists and it would be a good place to connect with an artist. Honestly, if you were in my area, I'd tell you to spend a day shadowing me at a convention. Show you how I present my table, help get products ready, watch how I do sketch cards and do my business pitch, assist me during panels where I might livestream a piece of art... stuff like that.

Also, Disney offers workshops, internships and shadowing at their studios, but you have to apply in advance. I hear their programs for college students are phenomenal!

I'm just looking to do anything I can, but currently my school has no art program or anyone there I can work worth and I have no family members in any art careers. Hence why its been a struggle because I havent been able to find anyone through my own contacts.
