I've got a new cover! Again I removed all the text boxes (I was going for an 80s comic vibe where there's loads of hypey blurb stuff, which is also why there's loads of black crosshatch)

Not with a bang caught my eye the most, without knowing anything my initial thought was distopian war, as my eyeballs saw shapes of propaganda posters and marching soldiers wearing gasmasks in the abstract (bear in mind if im totally off im very sleepy today and everything feels like a fever dream hah). Im really enjoying the big red letter font as well! very eye catching!

my first association was the opening of MadMen so I guess it's also about some kind of existencial/identity crisis but with VR instead of being a successful copy-writer in the 60s. Maybe also with Yakuza. Something criminal in a big city. Could be a comic but I also wouldn't be surprised if it is a novel.

Also, when looking at your cover, I think of the golden apple, or forbidden fruit, which makes this character very bold for daring to take a bite -- love the paint style!

haha I love this interpretation!
funnily enough, Endres' (the chara on the cover and the main MC) character arc revolves around generally not being bold/daring enough to pursue his own passions (mostly in the very carnal sense), and one of his favourite fruits are apples :'D
but yeah, the forbidden fruit was also a part that came up when I drew this, more I just wanted to make him sexy and tempting, though. Thank you!

Android Affection: I read the synopsis somewhere else on here, but just going by the cover....
Although his ear is shaped, giving a hint that HE is the android...., I'm going to say it's a love story between two androids.

And it's either illegal or impossible for two androids to love each other in that universe. It looks like the hearts are flowing from him and she is almost blushing so maybe it's him that's smitten first and she has to figure out, in her confusion, what to do.
