I have two characters that I plan on pairing up.
There's Akina: Who's always stressing herself out over things that are out of her control. She's a hard worker and puts others over herself regardless of her own well being.
Then there's Niyu: He gets his work done at the last minute and doesn't let stressful moments get the best of him. He's smart and talented, but doesn't utilize his full potential. They bond over their love of food, mostly steaks, ways to control their godly powers, and how to survive college coursework.
I wanted them to build off each other. Example: Akina motivates Niyu to pursue anything he thought was too difficult to be bothered with. Niyu teaches Akina that it's okay to take breaks. At the same time these traits are what they love and dislike about each other. Akina feels that she can relax around him, but is irked when he procrastinates, especially when they're supposed to have a study date. Niyu feels like he can be a better person when she's with around, but doesn't like it when she blames herself for something that's not her fault.
I was wondering if a couple like this is realistic or at least a possibility. Would it make sense for someone chill to end up going steady with someone a bit uptight? Or would they realistically hate each other?
