One of the things I debated with myself in January is exactly what I want out of social media as an artist. Do I want the social aspect? I mean, I have friends but I do enjoy talking to other creatives. I rejoined Twitter and had anxiety over it within a week. (Seriously, how do people use it daily!? Some kind of superpower I think. Or just being an extrovert. It's far too fast-paced, boom-boom-boom for me as an introvert.) So, I ended up deleting it again. I deleted my TikTok because I got bored and my dA because it's a dead site. (I also uh, found out some unsavory things about it.) I kept my YouTube, Tapas, Discord, and Instagram. And decided to make myself a Pixiv and ArtStation because many professionals I admire use them. And remade my Tumblr to make it more a e s t h e t i c. I definitely prefer sites where you can post more images over text. (Makes it less addictive for me personally.) If you use any of these sites, send me your links! I'm looking to connect with my fellow Tapas creators outside the site. :boom:

I wanted to ask you, do you use Tumblr to promote or just for personal use? I had a personal Tumblr a loooooooong time ago but sort of stopped using it, but now I was wondering if maybe it's worth it to try an promote there.

I can totally relate with you when it comes to social media lol. I don't use it very much, actually, aside from Instagram and Tapas. I have a youtube channel where I occasionally post some stuff (mostly sh*tposts and a few comic-related videos) and also Twitter, but I don't like using it that much.
I have a DeviantArt account as well as a Pixiv one, but I don't post frequently. I recently tried Tumblr but I'm not too into it.

Here's my linktree where you'll find everything:

I am totally down with this considering That I totally suck at Social Media I only got in some platform to promote my webcomic. others just for fun..

your instagram page is amazing! followed! you have such an amazing colour palette I'm jealous lol.

Here is my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yoshizu.j.w.p_art/1 (i only have 4 posts right now, as we are just starting off. hopefully i will be able to grow with time)

And here is my webcomic:

i checked out ur stuff, its really cool! I love the more old-school manga-esq artstyle you have, so refreshing (and i honestly just prefer it) to the modern classic webtoon style.

I just check out your comic! It's amazing with Art-style and Humor... I love that old man! Instant sub from me, I can't wait to see more

thanks! really means alot. I also checked out and subbed to ur comic! The plot is intriguing and the characters are so animated! I love the facial expressions and the designs especially.

it's a pain to try and link everything but all my social media pages are listed in this post here

i have to agree that twitter is definitely way too fast paced tho it's less that it overwhelms me but more frustrating that the lifespan of a post is limited to how long it appears on a timeline (if at all) and then thats kind of it unless it gets shared around.

i'm honestly still debating on deleting some pages but will likely just leave them up as legacy/archive accounts for whatever works already been put up in those places

honestly about the only places i'm even really active myself would likely be tumblr and twitter though i've just made a buzzly acct so hopefully i can get into that one and stay motivated enough to post somewhat consistently rather than the one updated icon ever month or so

I did have a personal Tumblr for a long time as an inspiration pinboard but decided that just having an art promo account was easiest! (I just download my inspo photos to my laptop or phone now lol.) On my first art Tumblr account, I had decent traction and expect the same of my new account. I would say it's worth promoting there (especially when you're in a specific niche). I hope that helps!

Aw, thank you so much! :heartpulse: I'm all about those magma and aqua colors. ^.^ Your art is really cool tool! I love your textures especially.

I'm kind of starting again with my accounts for personal reasons and to approach my projects differently
Currently I'm keeping it at Tapas (original, just changed name from Talking to Breaking), and new Twitter, Instagram and DeviantArt, as those I know.

Might try others later. I want to better develop my drawing skills and comics at a pace I can actually handle.
