They've got similar face shapes too
They are supposed to be half-siblings. I draw them the same way so their faces are basically identical. The main difference consists of the haircut, some facial expressions (Alex always looks in a bad mood) and some details around the eyes (I normally draw tear ducts and dark rings under the eyes on Alex).
Her eyes are blue, unsurprisingly, because she's monochromatic and blue is my favorite color.
