it's kind of a slice of life/heartwarming/romantic comedy combo. Many parts of it are silly, especially because the two main children are schemers, but others are much more serious. I'm glad you like Goeun's design. It's a very old one, but I changed a few details when I drew her digitally for the first time to account for some of the changes I added to the original plot (which is from when I was like 13)

Captain Mirav Mizrachi, commander of Alpha Company, 213th Engineering Battalion. She has a complex background of African-American, Korean, Iraqi and white heritage. She was in Iraq before taking command of the Company.

Sergeant Juni Okuda, Intelligence Sergeant for Alpha Company, 213th BN. Dad is Japanese; Mom is Korean. She mostly identifies with her Korean side of the family. She was in Iraq and currently deployed to Kosovo.

Sergeant Troy Saltee, a Combat Engineer in the 213th Battalion. He is mixed but it hasn't yet come up in the story as to how, since it hasn't been relevant. He served in Afghanistan.

The comic is BOHICA Blues; it's a comedy about Army life. It's got long-form story elements and overall plots but told in "gag-a-day" format.

I know I've shown Leander before. He's Egyptian but grew up mostly in Greece and now lives in western Canada. That is whipped cream on his nose and upper lip.

His son Evander is a dark skinned ginger:

Dionysius is Greek but has very dark skin. His hair is silver (not white or grey but actually silver):

And this guy, Harmachis, is obviously Egyptian. This is his hybrid lion/man form, and in my story he is the inspiration for the Sphinx. I have not yet drawn him in human form.

Two characters who are gonna appear in my comic sometime down the road.
I like their later drawings because I was really starting to get their appearances down.

Riley: A rowdy tomboy who's really good at drawing.
Chuck: An ornery old man who's been around the block.

Both are of Mexican descent are are uncle and niece.
They were originally gonna be a brother and sister duo, but I already have one of those in the comic so to give them more of an identity I aged up Chuck and made him more grumpy because I love the grumpy old person archetype. Riley started off as a goth, but later became a tomboy, but her personality was always meant to be rowdy and cheery.
