On the way back to Luna Springs, Rosia started to speak again. "You know how you said..." she started, this time louder and a little more clearer, "you said that I'd be grateful to have you breathe on my neck." "Mhm, I did." Naso agreed. "Well, I am... Even though it's really dark outside, right now, I can see your face clearly. I don't know how. All I know is that I really enjoy being by you." Rosia spoke. "Rosia, I feel the same way about you. That's why I want you close, so I can protect you."
"Is that all you want to do? Just protect me? Was all this just because you had to be my bodyguard?" Rosia said as she almost believed it.
"No. Rosia..." Naso stopped Mercy near a tree. He got off and carried Rosia with him. "Na-" Naso shushed Rosia. He took her to a tree and sat down up against it, still holding Rosia and keeping her off the snow.
Naso looked straight in Rosia's shiny almond eyes. Rosia looked straight in Naso's dark red eyes, confused. "I want you to understand something. I want to protect, keep you safe, shelter you... Because I..." Naso paused making sure she was understanding.
"I love you."
"I didn't think that when I first saw you, I would care so much about a woman." Naso told Rosia. "So why did you even bother?" Rosia asked she blushed while looking up to Naso. "I needed to try something new." "You don't understand... I'll bring problems in your life." Rosia tried to resist. "And I will fix them." Naso brought Rosia cold body a little closer so she wouldn't freeze.
Rosia started to cry. She lifted her arm and wrapped it around Naso, then rested her head on him. "I'm so very sorry..." she cried. "Naso.. I... I love you, too." Rosia said with a little proudness in her words. Naso was confused. "Why did you say sorry?" "Because um.. your sitting in the snow and holding me..." "If I'm with you, nothing is cold."
There in the woods, two people of royalty sitting in the snow in the dark. But, little did they both know, there was a man in white watching them from afar. "I must of missed my aim. I was sure that I could kill Princess Rosia," pause, "I have to kill her. If they get married, everything is ruined. I'm on my last... strike."
Naso got up while STILL holding Rosia. He's not going to let her go. Never. Naso made a promise to himself to never let Rosia get hurt. She needs you, you need her.
