I've experienced both, so here is what I learned:
-Samsungs are ok for a year, after one year, they go crappy, reaaaaaaaaal crappy, also, you have no assurance it'll work after a software update.
Pros: universal mini port for charge
can work even scratched
has many options to choose, from cheap phones to "way to expensive to touch" phones.
Cons: after a year = piece of plastic
gets overheated easily
- Iphones last more, since their software updates every time with assurance it'll work, easily, an Iphone can last you 5 years being able to download and run apps.
Pros: continued updates = can be used far more time than an android phone
doesnt get overheated
rarely has any major flaw, you pay expensive, but you get what you pay.
Cons: really expensive
limited memory, I use an ipad, so I dont know if its the same with phones, but if you buy a 16gb one YOU'RE STUCK WITH IT, and the software takes 40% of that memory
Really weird chargers that doenst fit with anything else but with it...
I can say both phones last a good chunk of time if you take care of them. My 4 year samsung died just a while ago, but it was already helpless, barely could read messages and wasant able to open any app, but I rarely use my phone, so is some kind of miracle I pulled to make it last that long, on the other way, my Ipad, which has the same age, I can easily go to the store and download tons of apps, even though its old, it stills work as new, so if you're the kind of persone that doesnt like to change phones/tablets every year, just get an ipad/iphone
