if you want alternatives you could try turning it into a review swap thread or allow folks to share info about their story (not their blurb) but a description explaining what its about or themes or the like but no subbing unless they're genuinely interested in the story and want to read more of their own volition. but specifically encouraging discussion about it. doesnt have to be comments on their series but just talking about it in the thread here
