You know what - before I talk about any of my OCs, I want to first talk about their development from the very beginning:
Currently, I'm working on a webcomic called Project SHaDe - a somewhat grim story with grim subject matter.
However, it wasn't always like this - when I was a wee lad (13 year old), I made a comic in my spare time called 'My Not So Ordinary Life' - a comedic story that featured characters directly modelled after my friends and myself, causing shenanigans and going on bizarre adventures.
Here is an excerpt from the earliest iterations.
From here, I would go on to create different iterations of the same type of comic, doing my best to improve layouts and general storytelling skills. Here's an example of another iteration of this comedic venture:
Over the 5 years of this comic's development though, my interests in both the media I consumed and my interests in storytelling changed and morphed, causing me to do whole revamps of the project. At the same time, some friends came and left, all the while as my outlook on life changed and morphed every now and then.
And so, a few ommissions of some characters, changes to said characters, and changes to the overarching plot and world, I found myself creating a comic called 'SHADE'
At this point, the characters departed from their original counterparts - no longer were they characters representing my friends, but more so characters in which I have drawn inspiration from said peers. Though I ended this comic quite abruptly, revamping it again, I consider it to be the prototype of my current comic now, Project SHaDe
I'll make another post about the OCs themselves - I'll probably focus on only a few of them.
