Whether you have published a comic/novel or not, we all love to talk about all the original characters we've put hard work into creating. So, here's a thread where you can talk about anything you'd like to share about them, whether it be their personality, their favorite food, best/worst habits, background, and more! Don't hold back when talking about them either.

I'll start (because I also started this thread so I can talk about my own OC too aha--):

This is Evander. He's one of the last two witches living in this Sci-Fi Mega World, with his sick mother being the other. Instead of dwelling on this fact and its depressing reality, he uses this title and his magic to earn more work as a bounty hunter to support his bachelor lifestyle. But, as being such a rare find, he's foolishly never considered the possibility that maybe, just maybe, someone would try and go after him; after all, he's a witch. What does fancy-shmancy technology have that magic can't easily overpower?

He's cocky, full of himself, and acts like a total player, but when he's alone or dealing with a difficult situation (such as the one his story explores), this persona begins to crumble, and we get to see that Evander is actually trying to keep himself together as he struggles with his truly accepting his identity (a witch in an advanced future) and a plethora of personal problems, one of them being the possibility of losing the mother he rarely sees.

On a happier note, Evander loves action comedies and animated features, and thinks the only dipping you should have for your fries is Sweet and Sour sauce lol

hes like a stoic spongebob lmao

Okay, let me join ( :
Meet Kestrel, main character of 6,751
1
Actualy, Kestrel is just a nickname, her name is Blanka, but apart from one other character from the series, everyone doesn't seem to realise she might have a normal name c;
She's a thief. A very, very greedy thief. She'll steal your money, your furniture and even your cat. Even if you consider her a friend, she has no exceptions. She loves gold and everything that shines, and hoards everything she got/stole. She likes wearing clothes made of expensive fabrics, with a lot of ornaments, even if they are weird or impractical.
She's childish, easily confused, optimistic, and something she seems to be caring but has an empathy of a brick. She's VERY lucky, and has some great observation skills! ... but very poor fighting or social skills.

This is Senri. He likes Science and Math and he works as a navigator on the space battleship his sister is the captain of. Even though he looks young, he is 23 years old.

And I'm about to seriously screw him over. hahaha

This is Sezdri. He is a sexy prince. So sexy...... blushes and faints He's the main antagonist, evil, and has muscles! His name is only two letters off from Senri's which I hadn't realized when I came up with it...

I do not have an illustration yet, but I just introduced a character who I quite like into my novella. Let me introduce Doctor C'thulhu. He's an octopus, so even before genetic augmentation, his ancestors were outperforming humans in tasks like predicting the outcomes of sporting events and plotting elaborate escapes from aquariums. After the bio-engineering -- well, he is often the smartest guy in the room (or in the tank sometimes). After he struggled to learn human language, he got a respect for English which ran deep and a hatred of puns which ran deeper. His strongest character trait is patience. Being exceptionally long lived, he spent a hundred years in school earning dozens of degrees, mostly masters and doctorates. Although humble and a stickler for rules, he would acknowledge that he is probably the most overqualified and oldest new recruit to volunteer for the space exploration organization.

His name, you ask. Yeah about that, the lab technicians who uplifted him had a dark sense if humor. I can neither confirm nor deny that the name is a type of obvious foreshadowing.

I found my joy in creating characters with flaws and "force" them to figure things out ^^

The story of Osram (because promotion and stuff)

My main character Osram is energetic has a very big ego and alot of selfesteem. Even though she isn't stupid and has good common knowledge, she siriously lacks the ability to sozialice propperly and quickly offends people because she is very direct. She is very open minded though and doesn't mind who you are or where you are from.
She want's to be seen as strong and independend but deep down there is a fragile soul.

And there is Xenon. A mama-boy who would spend days in his cellar to work on his projects. He is pretty missunderstood by society and his best friend is his mum because there aren't any other friends (He is a looner so he doesn't care). Sometimes though, he decides to go on a nice walk in the forest to get some inspirations. His focus lies in science and the possibillity to get independent from his rich mother, because then he can work on projects he is really interested in. Also he is a little spoiled but that changed when his mother kicked him out so he can learn to live on his own.

Also there is an evil little voice inside his head that tells him stuff when he got really stressed out ^^

I made some character design for my OC, but the illustration wasn't final, yet. I'm still trying to make a fitting face of this guy from this story.

If I should talk about his character and whatnot, the only thing I could say is that he is the pessimistic, awkward, and lonely teenager (That's pretty much sums up everything...) that's have an hatred on his heart and feeling that "everything that's doesn't involve me doesn't mean anything". The kid still trying to find the meaning of life and love, he'll grow someday (after my s*it writing hitting all the characters on their a*rse in the far future...), but he still need some a*s spanking for that. And I mean it figuratively.

Here's Grey from Stray Cats:

She's a squatter in Philadelphia after kind of a major revolution. She has no friends and struggles with anxiety and agoraphobia. Her interests include carpentry, gardening, and dumpster diving. She's constantly getting herself into situations where she needs to help people..and thats going to get her into trouble. Oh, also, that coat she's wearing is made out of rat fur (yay!)...

That's an interesting character you have there! I'll go an check out your story later, but it's pretty long so I'll read it when I have more time ^^`

I like characters that aren't one of those super perfect ones. For me it's just so interesting, how they react or overreact xD

Thank you! and yeah, the story is pretty long :"D
Your Xenon also sounds like a very interesting character! Very different to what we're used to in stories ( :

And right? Characters with flaws are the best ( : though sometimes I have a feeling that my characters are build only of flaws, hahaha~

Sounds like a thing I would totally read, just because I like to see how te other recruits would react xD And because of octopus!

My OC for What Lies Within2....This is Lucella, she works for a shadow organization for the government to clean up any messes that might give the impression that humans and spirits aren't getting along as well as society thinks. She has an ancient spirit bound to her who feeds off emotions, and his hunger is her hunger. Lucella constantly walks the line of trying to remain herself while the spirit inside of her threatens to take her over. She is sarcastic, sassy, and not at all the hero type but none the less she is loyal to the ones she loves and operates by her own complicated code. Her favorite activities include, reading, eating, and creating awkward moments by pointing out people's embarrassing emotions.

My MC Frances is the kind of person who would stop at nothing until she gets her way. She's an impulsive person who needs to learn to stop and think, and has the tendency to go wayy out of control (like tackle-other-people out of control) when one of her plans go wrong. Overall she's a friendly girl who almost always has good intentions, but she tends to go overboard with her obsession with becoming well known.

Unlike Frances, Azzi keeps to herself. She struggles with doing the right thing and though she's aware that she's selfish and unfriendly, she has no clue what to do about it. She has a short temper that, on rare occasions, result in violent and destructive behavior. Despite her standoffish and distant behavior, she cares about Frances and is one of the only people who can tolerate her crazy personality. She also has trouble with listening to her conscience (nicknamed "Angel"), who is constantly pestering her.
I also can't draw her neck length consistently lol

"he's like a stoic spongebob" :joy: I love this man already, his post delivery services across the galaxy are greatly appreciated.

She’s Flare, a dragon girl who lives in a small village and works as a blacksmith assistant due to her fire resistance. She hasn’t got any memories of her past (sorry for the super cliche thingy XD) so her main dream is to someone to recognize her and tell her who she is. She’s kinda lazy, childish and easygoing, but she get pissed easily, her only friends are his boss and his boss’s wife who also act like a parent figure. Her main hobbies are dancing (mostly when she isn’t being watched or she isn’t sober), sunbathing, flying and jewelery making.

Shade isn’t his real name, he told Flare to call him like that just to mock her cause he doesn’t believe that “Flare” can be a real name. He’s an aster renegade who travels around the world trying to find something, making money as a cheap mercenary. He stumbles with Flare while traveling north. He’s serious, cold, dishonest, loyal, protective and sometimes quite brave. Sometimes it seems as he talks to himself...
