Ok, here's what I have at the moment. The main character is a human living in a cave for most of his life. One day he hears a voice that tells him that he's a chosen one, and he has to to go in a certain dirrection for 30 days, and he will find a starship that was built a century ago before WW5 and already contains a population of colonists being put in a creosleep to be transported to another planet.
During his travel, the man comes across a gang of Insemenators being guardrd by dinasaures. Insemenators is a post-apocalyptic religious cult. They balieve, that they van restore the Earth by spreading their... semen (i'm sorry) So, to be initiated into the cult, to became an acolyte you have to go to the wasteland and masturbate all over the place. And it's kind of works, because it provides some nutrients and water to thr soil. (I'm sorry for writing it, but I'm kind of finding it hillarious). So acolytes of Inseminators tend to gather into gangs for their religious deeds, and to protect themselves they hire dinosaurs. Intelligent dinosaurs, in their turn, were geneticly produced by humans to serve as a biological weapon in a war, but ever since they have become independant and now usually provide their services as mercenaries.
After the encounter the main character become friend with one of the guardian dinosaurs, and they continue their journey together. Later the main character will find a friend amongst vampired (the undead) and it will play a crucial role in the interstellar journey because, you kind of have to be undead to pilot a starship for a couple of centuries.
