Does anyone have experience submitting their comic to Lezhin via their open submissions? I recently sent in the first 4 chapters of my comic along with the other requirements (synopsis, character bios etc.) about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back from them. They never even sent me a confirmation e-mail that they had received the submission. I've reached out to some creators who work with Lezhin and they said it's normal not to hear back from them after you send in your submission. I was just wondering if anyone else had sent in their comic to Lezhin as well and what their experience was. About how long did it take to hear an answer from them? Do they generally accept submissions from non-korean artists?
Any general knowledge is super helpful!
There are some previous threads regarding Lezhin submissions.
They do receive from applicants who are non-korean as long as the submitted work is written in English. Lezhin doesn't always respond after the submission though.
Good to know! I was stressing about not receiving a confirmation e-mail but I guess that's normal Not sure if there's any way of knowing this but do you happen to know whether it's generally "easy" to be accepted. I hate using the word 'easy' but I guess I was just wondering if many non-korean artists have been successful in publishing on their platform in the past
I'd say it's "very hard" in fact. Less than ten artists in the world get a chance to publish there every year. Those selected artists are mostly already professional or equivalent, so the possibility is low.
Thanks for the info! I really appreciate your input! And yes the comics on their platform are very professional looking and mostly in the korean manhwa style as well. My personal art is a hybrid of western and asian styles so maybe that would make it harder as well.
I hope you get published at Lezhin since they (from what i heard) take action against websites that steal your work, sites like wattpad ( i can't compare the two since they ARE different but i had my work stolen on wattpad) can't do anything
I was rejected but they were responsive. Got a confirmation email the next day, and rejection email 3 weeks later. Waiting is really nervewrecking but good luck!!
I just received my rejection email from them I'm still planning to pitch it to other places though for now but will probably upload it to canvas if nothing else works!
This post is old I see... But yeah if anyone of ya active there... Then plz leave a reply ... I am planning to submit my work to lehzin... But i don't know how... Like in which format should I submit my work... Do i need to create google drive links... Or do i need to submit pdf... But there is a limit to submit pdf which is around just 25 mb through gmail... And surely... Files being big... If I compress it, it might ruin the quality... So how do you submit them?
Please try not to revive old threads... is against the guidelines... As well, for that information you can visit Lezhins website or simply communicate with them via their email. Those who search, find
