I'm Asian and consider myself an ally (though I've never heard it used as the "A" in LGBTQIA, but I know some of those letters get swapped out for different words every now and then). For some input on the "asexual" usage, I'm unaware of any opposition to the term other than from people who think they don't exist. The asexuals I have known have no issue with it and I've never heard an alternative for the word.

Hey there! I'm super new to Tapas, and this is my first post here. I'm Asian American, and almost all the characters in my work are Asian American too. My book's not a comic and is a coming-of-age/apocalypse story, so if that interests you, I'd love if you checked out my work. (Small note: I transferred this book from Wattpad, but the character limit unfortunately meant that I had to split my first chapter in half a bit awkwardly)

My comic cast include G, B, T/NB (L too, but not a main character), however it is not yet discussed to date in my comic. But three of my LGBT characters will have side stories focused on their identities/preferences later on.

Yeah i would assume it stands for Ace/aro- feels more correct but i assume thats also why the + exists in there? >3

Anyways ill post and people can just ignore me with the preface that Im an Allie, its a slow burn comic where we're getting to know the characters so a lot of personal stuff doesn't come up right away
