Hey there, I'm quite new on Tapas and I have recently started posting my novel named Dandelion Lover.
The cover I have for it was made by me around a year ago when I first started writing it, and I do like it, but seeing all the talented artwork here on Tapas I felt the need for a new cover.
So I am here to see if anyone can help me with some cover designs/drawings.
I will say it upfront, this will be free work, however, I will subscribe to you and give you credit if the cover you make is chosen. I'll also check out your work if you are contributing and if I like it I will comment/like as I usually do on the works I enjoy.
The story I have is in the Romance category, it is also partly Chicklit and Drama.
This is my old cover:
Here is the blurb:
Kate Ross is a slightly awkward young adult that has problems fitting into the norms of society. Her friends are all married and even with children while she is still struggling to find the right job. One day her luck changes when she is hired to work as a copywriter for a small company.
Meeting new people and making new friends becomes easy when she joins the workforce, but when her care towards her boss becomes more than she could allow herself, her once quiet life becomes filled with struggles to keep her own feelings under control.
Whether she falls prey to her feelings or she manages to fight against them, one thing is for sure, life is never as easy as it seems and it is up to her to face her own weaknesses or to stand up and fight for what she wants.
Just to be clear, it is not that I don't like my old cover, but I feel there is nothing special among the numerous other personalized ones and it does not quite fit with Tapas. The novel currently has 32 scheduled chapters with 3 published and a new chapter will publish twice a week.
For the chosen cover I will add credits to the blurb, as a shout/wall post to my profile, and in the episode info for the first chapter of the novel.
Here is a description of the Main Girl Character:
" She was quite small even for a girl, and the type of clothes she was wearing didn't really seem to fit with her look.
She could have been mistaken for a high school kid except for her eyes that sparkled with life, watching me intensely. Her hair was light chocolate and she had lightened her tips to a platinum blond. It looked pretty good together with her pink, almost translucent skin and eyes as blue as the summer sky. If it hadn't been for the glint in her eyes, you could have thought she was a doll"
Description of the Main Male Character
"When I first saw him I thought I was looking at a gruff, almost savage man, taken out of those type of novels, as he rushed through the office and slammed the door behind him. When I was sent to introduce myself, I noticed that his black hair with a hint of blue was ruffled and the darkened green eyes looking up at me were red around the rims.
He coldly dismissed me with an excuse while not even looking twice my way, but then again I guess that was normal. I could never really understand how men think and don't really want to know."
My favorite scene from this novel and the one where it all starts getting more serious, I guess is when they're in his office and he's trying to teach her some basic editing for a project, he mainly moves his hand over her own holding the mouse and bends towards her which leads to a tense atmosphere filled with sparks. Or at least that's what it's supposed to be. XD
Hope this extra information helps.
The descriptions are made by the characters themselves for each other.
Thank you for your attention!
