Looking for an artist for Lezhin Comic

I’m looking for someone experienced and/or older for the kind of story this is, and this is for Lezhin. Lezhin pays their creators, all of them, automatically they require a minimum of 4 chapter for reviewed submissions, this will be based on a novel that I am currently writing on Wattpad. I have 29 chapters done. It’s very adult and will be nsfw I am looking for Korean style art/ manhwa or something of the likes and again I need an artist that is serious, I want to get paid and I imagine you would too, so I would like send in something lezhin will pick up. On my end, the story is honestly really fucking good and honestly the kind of story lezhin likes publishing and picking up anw. That said I need an artist/partner of equal standards. The story is Dark Romance and includes Trauma & Kidnapping. So please be comfortable drawing such scenes.

Things to consider—
Lezhins 70 panels minimum (or around there at least).
Update schedules tend to vary however they are regularly consistent. The longest I’ve seen is an 11 day schedule.
The art styles they tend to promote; check out lezhins website is you are unfamiliar.

And how much does Lezhin pay those days? I remember that few years ago they were at the center of controversies for poor treatment of their authors, low pay and exploitative practices... I remember that at the time, the pay was something like $1800 a month, which is... well, let's be honest, rather pathetic. Worst of all, Lezhin actually has some troublesome policy, where they cut 9% of the pay, if you don't make the deadline. Typical South Korean company, that wants to work you to dead, makes as much as possible on your back, and pay you as little as possible... Did anything change since 2018?

@gddavid97 Yeah since 2017. It was dealt with. I would imagine it would 4 years later. Thanks for asking, however, I find that it’s always good to do you’re own research about such concerns so I’ve provided a link to help get you started reading up on the incident you’re referring to from 2017 four years ago; please take the time to do further research if this is not comforting enough. (Allthough I personally cannot comment on the pay since I don’t know how much it is, all I know is that it varies per creator, and I think this is information you’d have to receive from Lezhin directly if you’ve had/have/will have a contract) but if it is 1800, and that isn’t enough for your mastery, then that’s completely understandable.

Hi! I think it would be nice if we knew more info about your project.

For starters I would really appreciate if you posted the link to the novel so we can know better what it is all about.

This is a long term project, so I think it would be nice to know what is expected of each part. That means, would the author work in the comic adaptation, the storyboarding, etc or only in the actual novel writting.

That is important because I'm curious about the revenue splitment. Normally people says 50/50, but I think that in this kind of project the artist does the biggest amount of work. If the artist is expected to create an adaptation, storyboarding, sketching, inking and coloring in a week for as long as the comic is serialized is clearly not a fair share. Also, assistants would be probably needed.

Lastly, Im also curious about if any payment at all would be done for the entry. 4 chapters of 70 panels is more than a month of work, since also character design and explorations needs to be done, and I think it needs to be clear if that work is going to be payed or not.

Hope I wrote everything properly! Its a bit late and english is not my first lenguaje. I know you mentioned some things in your post, but I think that is easier for everyone to know if they are a proper fit for your project if they know exactly what your terms are.

This is long term and I'd like to take my time and this includes with discussions. I can come here and say 50/50 and that might no longer be the case depending on how much we'll be paid. Hopefully this makes sense? Also their are subjective views such as yours that assumes the artists should be paid more. I neither agree nor disagree as it is your subjective view. However these are again things that should be discussed and not simply estimated upon (as they would essentially be since I, again, do not know how much we'd be paid)

As for everything else I will take into consideration and edit the post so thank you so much for that.
