Hi, I'm Valerie! I'm a writer and I'm looking for an artist to collab with a To All the Boys I've Loved Before inspired one-shot. The schedule of the one-shot webcomic will be based on the artist time.
If you are interested you can private message me here in the forums or message me in my tapas profile.
The title of the story is To The Boy I Dream and Love. Here is a sample of the story:
Chapter One: The Cute Boy at Music School
My favorite hobby was reading books. Books in the morning, afternoon, and evening. It was always like that. One of my favorite authors was Jenny Han, the author of the famous novel, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series.
I could relate to the character Lara Jean. Like her, I like to write love letters too, but mine was all about for my future husband.
Lara Jean’s love letters were sort of a goodbye. She writes them so she no longer feels the need to be consumed by all the love she gave to a boy. These letters set her free.
Included in my love letters were my wishes about my destined guy.
One of those characteristics I want him to have is to have gorgeous blue eyes also he must know how to sing and play the guitar. I wonder what will I do if my letters will be read by the guy who will be mine forever? What would he react?
I was not really a courageous person. All the boys I like never even knew about my existence. It’s not that I prefer that to happen. It’s just that I was too shy to even talk to them or just say hi.
Being a shy girl wasn’t the best thing in the world. Today I was going to a music school to practice my skills in singing and learn how to play the guitar. I’d been dying to learn how.
Once we reached the building my mom said, “Good luck and have fun on your first day.”
“Thank you I will.”
I went out of the car and sling my bag on my shoulder. I took a deep breath. “I’m ready.”
I entered the room and saw my fellow class members glance at me. Then, they continued talking to each other. I sat down on the couch beside the door.
“Will there ever be a surprising turn of events today?” I whispered.
After I said that I look at the handsome guy who entered the room.
I was star struck as I continued to gaze at him. He has long blonde hair and has a jawline similar to handsome models in a cover of a magazine. Even if he has different colored hair and different colored eyes than Noah Centineo, the cute actor who played Peter in the movie To All the Boys I've Loved Before, he somehow looks similar to him!
His eyes looked around the room until suddenly he looked at me. Everything was like in slow motion like in those romance movies. He smiled once our eyes met. I was surprised to see his gorgeous ocean blue eyes, so blue it melted my heart.
He sat beside me. I looked away and feel like I couldn’t breathe because of how loud my heart beats were.
There was a silence and then I glance at him until the glance became a gaze.
He suddenly looked at me and smiled at me again. I quickly look away, wishing my cheeks wouldn’t blush this much.
I decided to look again at him, and he was still smiling at me. He said, “You got a cute smile.” Oh God! His voice was sexy. Wait a minute!
How shocking? Was I smiling at the whole time at him? How come I didn’t notice? This is so embarrassing!
Our teacher came in the room. “Everyone, can we all settle down?”
All of us sat down on the chairs in the middle of the room.
To my surprise, the cute guy sat beside me.
How can I concentrate if this super gorgeous guy is beside me?
“So today we will start with introducing our newcomers.”
I lowered myself in my seat. I hated introductions. It’s so nerve wrecking.
Until the teacher pointed at me and then everyone was looking at me.
“Don’t lower yourself in your chair sweetheart, come here and tell us all about you.”
I nervously stood up and suddenly I bumped my arm towards my chair and all of my things fell on the floor.
This was seriously not a good day. Those thoughts changed when this guy who caught my heart picked my things and placed them on my table. He smiled at me again.
I walked towards the front and tried so hard not to blush as my eyes couldn’t help to look at him the whole time.
And yet again the whole time he kept smiling at me. Until I realized I was the one smiling first. Why couldn’t I control my lips not to give him a smile?
“Hi, I’m Zelyn. I love to sing and I want to play the guitar. I think that without music I couldn’t live without it. I’m also 19 years old.”
One even said, “Your 19? How come you look like your 12?”
The laugh starts from around me.
I glared at that guy with flaming hair who said something he shouldn’t.
I looked again at my guy and I realized he was laughing as well.
The teacher warned him, “Come on Christopher, stop that!” Then, she looked at me with a smile. “I think he meant to say that you look young.”
Again, he said in a loud voice, “Too young!”
I double glared at him until I went back to my seat.
“Wait?” Christopher stood up. “Let’s hear Zelyn sing. Since she loves to sing, let’s see if she can sing.”
All of them agreed and nodded their heads.
I shook my head. “No. I can’t.” I whispered as I kept glaring at him. “Shut up!”
But Christopher kept smiling.
“Come on please, Zelyn! Sing!”
Everyone in the room said simultaneously. “Sing! Sing! Sing!”
I stood up and everyone was silent. I walked in front and closed my eyes.
I sang the theme song of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, I Like Me Better.
When I sang I feel the lyrics of the song. In my mind, all I could think of was that gorgeous guy with the most beautiful eyes.
Then after I sang, everyone was silent. I opened my eyes.
Christopher suddenly clapped his hands. “Great voice you have!”
I smiled as everyone in the class clapped for me including the guy I liked.
I went back to my chair and he immediately told me. “Your voice is amazing.”
I gaze at his beautiful eyes, trying my hardest to answer him, but I was too shy. I couldn’t say anything.
