This is my Novel.

Basically, my novel is about a surgeon transmigrating and opening his own clinic. I want a Manhwa cover or similar art quality and I know how expensive those can get so. I'm willing to pay around $50-60. I can increase the pay depending on if I like your drawing style or not. I want to discuss with the artist what kind of cover it should be. The artist should have some experience working with systems on their covers. I can pay through Paypal or Apple pay. (examples are posted below) These are the types of covers, I kind of want. Except the Male lead is going to have light brown hair and eyes. He is going to be in a white coat, his hands in the pocket, and a stethoscope around his neck with his system panel open. On the back, a little of the clinic is shown. I'm way too specific but please contact me if interested and we can include some of the artist's ideas as well obviously if I like them.

It was nice looking at all beautiful different kinds of art. After some consideration I have chosen an artist and the spot has been filled.

Thank you for the interest!!

Yep, I saw it. I love your art style but I wanted to know if you have worked with systems before.

I hate to break it to you but the example covers you're showing probably cost over 150 dollars if they were done by an artist not living off of their work and probably over 200 dollars if they're professionnal... Especially if you want to have commercial rights to the piece you can add on another 50 bucks minimum.

I'm pretty sure that you'll have a hard time finding a western artist that worked with systems before, unless they did covers for LitRPGs on Amazon.

I'm curious, what kind of systems are we talking about? I assumed it was a medical term with the context, but because you said western artist do you mean the hangeul? (sorry for the tangent, I've never come across that word in this context)

As an artist, I will be honest - the "system" in Korean webcomics is just a blue square imitation of computer window/pretty pattern, there's nothing unique about it on those artworks

Oh right ok... I guess I couldn't see why western artists wouldn't have done those, anyone who draws space opera or a lot of scifi will have done some. I guess I'm also a bit perplexed as to why they're such an issue? They're not that hard to do. I assumed it was the hangeul system because calligraphy with an alphabet you don't understand is a lot more of an issue if you've never done it before.

That, they're not unique, or hard to do, but OP want someone that did those before, and I rarely see any artist that did them before lol, even in the "system" subgenre it's hard to see a cover with a system...

There's a subgenre of modern fantasy webnovels called "system" where the MC have a videogame like menu, it's basically sword art online, but it's not always videogames.

I do understand their wish and it's completely fine, but if you can draw, you can easily imitate it within your style. It would be cool if they will find the artist with example, of course, but if they couldn't I think it's just fair to let them know it's nothing too crazy to be done by anyone

I actually agree with you, I just find it odd how that is a requisite from OP because like I said, almost no western artist have that in their portfolio lol.

I sent you a message, can work something similar

What I meant was if you want a full colour cover with character and background and commercial rights, anything under $100 will be considered severely underpaying the artist. The examples I gave of pricing were the lowest possible price because I know in the webtoon industry artist exploitation is the norm, so I doubt the artists got a fair rate, especially as webtoon artists are rarely considered "professionnal artists" in the same way freelance Illustrator are.

Going rate for traditionnal publishing for simple photomontage covers (no drawing involved) are about 150-200 bucks, drawn covers with character+background go for minimum 300 (because the artist not only has to draw the thing but also actually design a good looking character based on the written description). Some people might be willing to lower their prices for an individual over a publishing house, but for the money you're offering you'll either get an artist who really doesn't appreciate the true value of their work or a young teenager who doesn't know better.

I do agree that artists are underpaid I would have offered more but can't because of my circumstances but the artist will only reply to me after reading my requirements. I know I have high standards but I have gotten several good replies. I will only choose to proceed with them if they are happy with it as well. No one is forcing them, it's their choice if they want to proceed further or not.
