I'm currently looking for artists to draw the different chapters of my anthology scifi comic. Each chapter is a short story telling the origins of one of my main characters, and a corner of the universe the story takes place in. I already finished and posted the first chapter here (you can read it at the link below) and already have an artist lined up for the 2nd chapter, but I have plans for a few more. One at a time of course (so I'm looking for only one right now), and I want each chapter to be drawn by a different artist, one that I feel represents best the flavor of each character and surrounding environment.
So, this is a one time gig (unless I really like your work and offer you more later lol), about 8 to 10 or 12 pages each story, ideally. I would give you the script for you to go from, and it would be paid, but that would depend on your price. I'm open to discussion on that front, and if we can reach a price we both agree with then swell. I am not a rich man, mind you lol, but I believe in paying for people's work. I might also not have the money if its too high, or maybe I already decided on another one for now, but I like your art too, so I might ask you to wait until I do that story with you. It all depends, but I try to be flexible.
So if you're interested, please provide here with a sample of your work, comic wise preferably of course, and your availability. If you want to name your price here too you can, but I still prefer to discuss that through private messages. Keep in mind, I'm looking for quality. Doesn't mean it has to be on the same level as my first chapter, or even similar in style, but I want it to look good and professional as possible, of course. If I don't reply to you, that means I'm probably not interested, so please don't keep posting or messaging me about it please. I promise I will look at every post here. Then again, I might not even pick anyone if I don't feel any of them are right. So this is not a "Someone's gonna get it!" type of situation even.
On a final note, you don't need to have done scifi before, I'm just looking at your artwork in general to see if i like your style and can envision it with any of my characters. My focus is and always has been on characters, and their emotions and expressions, so that's really what I'll be looking most closely at. That being said, all these stories are scifi related, so if you don't like or feel you can't draw aliens, or ships, or futuristic buildings or gun or planets or different terrains, or any of that kind of stuff (which not even saying you'll need to draw all of them), then this gig probably isn't for you lol.
