I'm looking for artists to help launch a variety of different comic books.
Before I get into the deals I'm willing to offer; I think I should lay out the work I'd want you to do.
Aside from general concept art and figuring out looks for characters, I'd want us to produce at least two comic pages (that's drawn, colored, text added, done and done) per month. I'd like for a finished comic to be 16-20 pages.
I will write the story, draw up panels (for example, I made these)
and I'll write a detailed script outlining what should be in each and every panel. You'll have creative freedom to take liberties in some areas, but I will direct you, and I'll want things to align with my vision. That is to say; you'll be able to put yourself into the work, assuming you keep in line with what I need.
I may, from time to time, help out more with the art side of things. I have a degree in graphic and web design, so while you'll handle the bulk of the artwork, you'll have my assistance on things like color, Typography, and other odds and ins.
Now I'd like to tell you a little about why you might want to join me.
Firstly, there is a good chance of our work making profits. I'm launching a website in a few months that will bring a game to the market. This game is being funded by a third party that has agreed to handle marketing for me. The marketing they do will lead many people to my website, and those people are bound to look around and find the comics we make.
Secondly, while things will be greatly directed by me, you'll come to find that I allow a great deal of creative freedom. This is because I see each of my ventures as a partnership. Yes, I get the final say, but I value your opinions and your ideas. I'll try to make things as simple as plugging things in, but there may very well be situations where I don't know what I want. In those situations, I'll be happy to take your suggestions.
Thirdly, as I said, I want to complete at least two pages per month. This would allow you ample free time outside our projects.
Now is probably a good time to get into the deals. There are three deals I can make with artists.
Deal 1 Is a partnership where you're paid roughly $75 per month
The comic would belong to me, and Id get to decide where it's posted, but you, of course, would always get credit for the artwork.
You would earn 25% of any revenue made from the comic sales on top of the initial $75 you get per month during production.
Deal 2 Is a partnership where you're paid nothing monthly.
The comic would belong to me, and Id get to decide where it's posted, but you, of course, would always get credit for the artwork.
You would earn 50% of any revenue made from the comic sales on my website, but you would have the freedom to sell the comic elsewhere and take 100% of the profits from places you sell without me.
Deal 3 Is a partnership where you're paid roughly $100 per month.
The comic would belong to me, and Id get to decide where it's posted, but you, of course, would always get credit for the artwork.
You wouldn't earn any revenue made from the comic sales.
Now I should say I have the capital to afford either deal 1 or deal 3 with one person at the moment. I can, of course, do multiple deals with different artists if you're willing to consider deal 2, which is probably what I'd call the optimistic or good faith deal.
I want to make at least one comic, but my max is 3. What I'll be able to do is highly dependent on who applies and who wants what particular kind of deal.
If we do enter an agreement, there will be an NDA that we'll sign before starting to work together. That's to both assure you that I can be trusted and that I can trust you.
If you're interested at all in joining me, please let me know here or through a private message.

One last thing. I'm not just looking for Manga or anime-style artists. Manga and Anime style is more than welcome, but it's not all that I'm looking for. I want a diverse lineup of art styles, so if you're different, that's a good thing. I'm not saying that'll guarantee anything, but it'll help you stand out a little more.
