A world-class gamer shut-in named Aaron receives death threats daily due to him being a famous full dive streamer. He ignores one of the death threats as usual, but it's pointed towards his family, the next day as predicted by the death threat his family is murdered. He decides to pursue them in real life, due to the game he has played called Sixth Sense a realistic shooter game, his skills transfer over to real life, will he be able to find this individual?

I am looking for a writer/editor who wants experience in developing a webtoon.

Have you been a featured creator in the past? Do you have prior connections to the editors at Webtoon or Tapas which gives you confidence that they're open to you pitching to them, and that they'd be receptive to that pitch? If yes, ignore what I have to say below. But if no...

I'd strongly advise not to expect things like front-page promotion, or to be picked up as a featured creator or a Webtoon Original. It's amazing if it happens, but going into a project with the expectation that it will, and telling your collaborators that, is just setting all of you up for disappointment if it doesn't pan out.

There are so many absolutely stunning and extremely successful Canvas/Community comics which never become Originals. Marketable ones. It's hard to predict what will be picked up, and you certainly shouldn't be taking it as a given.

Rather, your best bet is to expect that being featured won't happen, and put your effort into successfully monetising the project via Patreon. Then, if it does happen to get featured, it's a pleasant surprise which you and your team can then recalibrate around.

I have connections, prior experience, and knowledge in what it takes to be featured. I have great confidence in my artists and my writing. It is without being said that it is extremely hard to become featured. What I don't understand is your reply? Having a pessimist comment does not encourage anyone, it truly is aimed towards discouraging someone.

I'm not pessimistic. Far from it, I'm generally quite optimistic. And confident. And I'm not being discouraging, rather I am encouraging you to focus on avenues of monetisation which are more reliable and certain. Being featured isn't the only way to be successful with a webcomic.

But with something as uncertain as being selected to become a featured series, when nearly everyone is chasing that goal, it's way smarter to treat that possibility as a huge 'maybe', and focus on monetising via CANVAS + Patreon if you're hoping to make a profit from this. Especially since you're leading a team. Their expectations for eventual payment and success will come directly from what you tell them to expect.

On the fourms I requested and editor not unsolicitated advice. If you wanted to give advice you could of simply private messaged me in a humble fashion and I would of gladly accepted. What I dislike is the "pessimistic" response by replying on a public fourm in order to gauge other peoples responses to validate your so called "advice".

You're making a lot of negative assumptions about me. I offer public advice on these forums all the time. It's not for 'validation', or whatever else you'd like to accuse me of doing, or being. You don't need to agree with the advice I give, but disparaging my character is quite unnecessary.

I'll make a note not to avoid offering advice to you in the future, unless you ask.
