not too sure if i should reply to this or go in private so i hope it's 'kay if i do so here since it might interest other people!
but, yeah why not? there are lot of cultures who are/were accepting of trans folks however they may've called themselves/been called in the past and call themselves in the present! see native americans, where in some tribes two-spirits were/are a very important and integral part of their culture. also indians,, thais, cubans, mexicans, some cultures in the middle east and north africa and most certainly other cultures have/had all some equivalent(s) of what we'd call trans today. i know there were some examples in europe as well, before the whole pro-colonialism stuff, and yeah, before basically the middle ages and the rise of hatred, happened, but yeah, if ya want one person in particular in europe, i'd look into la chevalière d'eons, (she had others names, more known, such as lia de beaumont and le chevalier d'eons but in the end, she was recognized as mademoiselle d'eons but historians do their utmost to erase this) a well-known french spy during (or was it before? i never know) the french revolution.
also worth noting, way before our modern times, some camab folks used to take licorice and some other stuff to physically transition. not sure for cafab folks tho. and there was always the social transition option too!
anyways, all this to say that we, trans folks, have existed for a very long time now. as long as humanity did in fact.
p.s.: trans history also has ties with intersex folks so ya might wanna look into that as well!
