Hi all, good news I bring is now I can stably produce my comic series with a page of Mercenary Gu https://tapastic.com/series/Mercenary-Gu at least once a month and a page of Mountain's End https://tapastic.com/series/Mountains-End every other month, since I now have this stability I've realized there is a "music function" for Tapastic and thought I'd really like to have a soundtrack for my comic series. I'd like the music itself to change per circumstance or per scene, not necessarily per page so no worries their.
So if you are interested in making music for:
Mercenary Gu: I'm looking for a sound reminiscent of the band Brainticket and the band Ozric Tentacles, with influences from bands like Voivod. The goal would be to sound action-y and intense at time and mystical strange off-beat and otherworldly at other times, a very "alien" sounding soundtrack is what I'm looking for.
Mountain's End: This is a horror series so naturally I'd want horror music, in particular I'm looking for music reminiscent of the first three silent hill games but with occasional use of traditional Chinese instruments. That is the main sound I'm looking for but I could also accept a sound that combines elements from the sound of the band Goblin, soundtrack work of Fabio Frizzi with an atmospheric take on the sound of the music from Danzig. Some straight up atmospheric tracks are also acceptable.
If you are interested in sound-design and or voice-acting:
I'm not entirely sure if I could get this to work the way I want it to but if I'm able to make an entire track of audio a "reading" of the comic (I mean to say the lines of the comic being spoken by different voice actors in the proper sequence accompanied by sound effects) and it doesn't awkwardly loop in the background. Maybe this would be a unique way of presenting my comic on Tapastic, however if using a "reading" in place of a soundtrack is flat out too weird and ill-fitting then I will simply make a video of the comic with the voice-acting sound effects and music and post it to youtube. If voice-acting for a comic sound at all interesting to anyone, let me know and I'll let everyone know what types of voices I'm looking for. If I can make any money off of this at all (such as a monetized youtube video) the voice-actors sound effect makers and musicians could keep 75% or more of the profit if that sounds fair, I guess it would depend.
