Welcome!

This story is about the earth girl and alien boy and their adventures at Earth and at another... dimension? planet? I'm not sure, but I think we'll find out! There are many fun alien species and other unusual things here:

This story have a rich plot and describes events in several realms: Sandur planet, Earth and Astral. The main character is the boy from Sandur. There are different kinds of magic and creatures and many mysteries here:

This story is about reincarnation of the cat, her adventures and relationships with her master - cute white-haired boy. It is drawn professionally and cute:

I hope you will like them, as I do.

Here's one!

And a gender-flipped take on the grandmother of all isekai stories, probably!?

Thanks for all the recommendations, I've just subscribed to all the suggestions and will give them a read when I get the chance this weekend.

It's unfortunate that some of the suggested content is still somewhat new (I tend to like the marathon approach and just read in one go-through).

Is there a way to find out what comics/novels are complete (or at least have one substantial arc/season done) on tapas? Maybe I'm just not going through the website and the app enough to search, but it feels like I'm seeing the same titles on the front-page, and while the suggestion to look through trending helped a bit, they all seem somewhat new as well. Perhaps I've just got the wrong mindset since I like to stockpile content before I start reading/diving in .

Unfortunately no there isn't. Completed comics do have the words "Completed series" on it (this goes for both Premium and Free comics), but there's no way to search exclusively for completed works. You just need to keep searching

Hi Karunashi, here are three very competently made stories, I found so far on Tapas. These also follow your specifications as well, since they all have a sizeable amount of content already uploaded, which you can binge at your leisure.

I also included my favorite Webcomic, though this is outside of the tapas website. It's basically attack on titan meets Waterworld. You can read it here:

Yes it would be nice if they added this feature for Tapas or perhaps sort by amount of chapters/etc? Just in general more advanced search options haha.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've subscribed to the 3 tapas titles just now so I can read up on them this weekend

I didn't know this other site existed (recently started mangas, was more of a Novel person lol). Will definitely look into possibly getting a VIP membership and reading that recommended title perhaps this weekend or the next.

you won't regret it, that site is full of interesting comics beside Leviathan.

It's especially nice that they offer a VIP membership sort of a deal instead of paying chapter-by-chapter for their premium content. Definitely will be binge reading a lot of the content there once I'm done reading the list of comics/novels I was recommended on Tapas.

I agree and also a way to screen out "dead" comics. Gets kinda annoying when the daily snacks introduce this super interesting comic, only for me to find out the last update was like 4 years ago :joy:

I'm really not sure what genres (ex. fantasy, comedy, horror etc.) you're looking for but I'll give it a try
FREE:
- Videogames
This one is complete and it has an ongoing spinoff

This one updates really slowly though

-Another world

-Reborn

PREMIUM:
These are classic isekai/videogame comics (novel is complete for TSIWBAKD, first volume is free for TBATE)

Webtoons:

Makes me curious if Tapas is giving enough exposure to those newer comics/novels. I've been having the same experience as you, finding interesting comics if I had the time to browse-- only to find they're dead/inactive/still very new.

I'm fairly open with genres, but a really huge sucker for Isekai genre (Transported to another world/reincarnation/etc).

I'll subscribe to your recommended comics/novels now. I was waiting on "The Beginning After the End" to produce more chapters before I considered getting into it-- TSIWBAKD I'm very much interested in and will likely purchase the entire collection sometime this weekend.

I didn't realize they actually had a manga/manhwa of the Moonlight Sculptor! I was actually reading the light novel on it recently whenever I go for a walk and was pretty happy with it so far.

Webtoons looks pretty good too so I'll give that a go as well, thanks!~

Oh good glad there's a couple that caught your eye. Tapas does give exposure to newer comics, but mostly popular ones, which you can find in the "Noteworthy comic/novels" section. I think the new episodes list on the app is pretty good at introducing active comics. The hashtag search seemed to be a good idea, but I think the function is still pretty new so most creators don't use it.

I think the isekai genre is just not big on Tapas, I've been on for a few years now and I've rarely see one.

The TBATE novel is good too, gives a little more detail. Lol I'm reading it since I got impatient and couldn't wait for the comic to update.

Yeah the Moonlight Sculptor manhwa is ongoing with 2 seasons out rn (only the first season is on Tapas though). Season 3 isn't out yet though.

I'm considering going for the TBATE novel, but will think about once I finish a huge backlog of novels (I've got too much to read at the moment).

Manhwa/Manga which I've started to read more recently has been a way for me to kind of relax and go through the story a bit faster since some of the novels have like upwards of 1200+ chapters (mainly the Chinese Novels). Still have to read the Kumo Desu Ga (Kept pushing it back), and trying to pick up Slime (but waiting on more releases via Amazon).

Edit: Yeah it's too bad-- I think Isekai is a nice genre of its own-- and something I think could use a great series on (like Mushoku Tensei [sp?]).

I'll have to try to use the App more to see the newer comics-- just seemed like they were pushing comics I already subscribed to, and not enough pushing of other stuff like Staff Picks or Trending works. -- Speak of which, they need to also add a sorting option for Trending (Based on Trend of weekly, monthly, etc).

Yeah I like reading isekai stories too, but there's plenty of manga/manhwa/manhuas with an isekai setting so it doesn't really matter that it's lacking on Tapas.

You could try the Fresh tab on the site. I personally don't use it because it's way too hard and time consuming to find a comic I like among like a hundred of new ones. I'd rather pick from the comics the Tapas staff already picked out.
Or you could try choosing a creator you're subscribed to/a reader who's subscribed to the same series as you and check out their reading list. I managed to find some comics that way as well.

Allow me to shamelessly promote myself to you.
Even though my story isn't isekai, it's still a semi-fantasy, and I think you would probably like reading it!

If you really like what you can read so far, I have a completed mystery short from the same story universe
I would be trying to update it regularly as well.
Hope you find what you are looking for! (Not just my stories, of course. I see others have recommended a lot of good stuff to you already.)

Hey no problem, thanks for sharing another recommendation. While I'm a huge sucker for Isekai as mentioned, I'm fairly open to other genres as long as it's got an interesting story.

Gave it a read while cooking lunch and was only sad to see that there were only 3 chapters (Prelude+2 chapters). Hope to see more updates.

Yeah who doesn't like a little bit of good ol' Isekai stories :). I do agree that there's plenty of content out there-- but I'm afraid I'll slowly devour all the content by the end next month if I'm diligent and have enough free time. I guess I was just hoping there were more Isekai content popping up here as well-- and perhaps some hidden gems that others could recommend.

I'll give the fresh tab another go this weekend, but it's definitely needing some work by the Tapas crew to at least allow people to customize/personalize their search more-- at least being able to sort with more tags/aspects of a story.

I'll definitely lurk a bit more later this month (after reading all the recommendations) and peek through other people's profiles for what they're subscribed to.

well, I have a comic that involves portals and another dimension, but it's not manga influenced and I don't know if it's what you're looking for..

but if you don't like that then there's this since it's supposed to be like a video game

and then there's also this

It wasn't really relevant in your reply in story but, have you taken a look at the completed short story that I also have? Maybe it will satiate your hunger while new updates come out. Haha.
Sorry for yet another shameless self promotion but I just feel like you missed it for some reason.

You might like my story. It's based on Japanese light novels and involves a demon assassin being transported to Earth after he saves a human instead of killing her. As a result, he's turned human and his former comrades are out to kill him.
