Hi everyone, I am trying something new for my world building. In a sense, I want to try to build a library of excerpts to help form the world of Ethra and would like to reach out and support the writing community. For new writers (a member for less than a month) I will offer 5$ upfront and will pay even before the work is finished. It can be up to 10$ if I really like it. For more established writers on tapas (more than 25 subs) we can discuss something but the max I can do is 10$ per excerpt, though I will allow more legroom for you guys to work with and will be more likely to match the amount of effort you put in. If you guys just want to help out or support this project then please feel free to do so.
The Ask:The deadline is one week for a 1-2 paragraph excerpt using a prompt that I give.(take a look at excerpts 6 and 7 on my excerpts page for an example:

For example: Their prompt was:" A scientist finds out that the facility they work at is evil and has trapped them, they inject themselves with a top secret serum that gives them a superpower and breaks out."

So, I will give something like this and you fill in the rest with your imagination. The plot doesn't even need to make sense, all it has to be is a scene displaying a "power". Use your own style. If you write a script, as long as it describes the power, its good.. Also create a name and title for your fictional author or use your own name or none at all. (If you don't I will just edit in a name like Muiro teceps so…)
For beginning writers, I am just looking for fresh and creative ideas. We can get together and I can help edit the excerpt, once you're done, to make it more concise and publishable. I will also credit you fully and help promote you. In exchange, I just want the right to use the excerpt and display the excerpt on my excerpt's page and works involving Ethra. You will still have ownership over the work and can use it however you want.
- In this process, for both our safety, all transactions will be reported in the forums so we have the whole of tapas witness the event.
Process:
1) Post that you are interested and send a link to your series to help prove your tapas status and writing skill.
2) Once you get accepted, dm me your PayPal or cash app (preferably paypal) and I will send the money then send the receipt in the forums with all but 1-2 letters blurred out and the other party just sends confirm in the forums.
3) Then after that, I will dm the prompt.
4) They have 1 week to dm me the full excerpt with a title and optional author name before I mark them as "awol" and that's it.
5) I promise to not put any further effort than that, I am not naive enough to think the world is perfect. If they want to spit on this, then do so I don't care, I will still keep this up. So if they don't care about being shamed by the community for $5, they can just take it. I will still believe in the community.
6) This will keep up unless there's a greater than 90% failure rate, after 1-2 months of trials. However, even if the failure to success ratio is better than 90:10 I will keep it up. I like to believe that good that helps people, even though other people take advantage of it, is a great thing, because as long as you reach that 1 person in the group of 10, it's worth it.
(I usually work from at my job 4-5 days a week, so if you guys don't get an immediate response, that's why. I will do my best to keep up with this.)
