PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING! I've done this on other sites before and a lot of people always seem to overlook the requirements posted.
So who doesn't love free art of their character? I love making people happy and would do requests for almost anyone if I could but realistically I would never have time for that. But you know what I DO have time for? Background characters!
I am looking for characters and mask designs to use as background characters in my comic, City of Blank!
My comic takes place in a very populated city, and what do populated cities have? Lots of people! That means I need lots of characters to populate this city. So this is your opportunity to get your character a cameo in an active comic.
I'm currently accepting characters as background characters and MASK designs. Here's a random page to give you an idea of the context and what the look of your cameo would be like!:

Please keep in mind that this comic takes place in a world where EVERYONE wears masks. If you're character doesn't have a mask, don't stop reading just yet! It's not required at all.
That said, I am not dependent at all on these designs, this is just an offer for you to be involved in this comic if you so wish! I love doing these sort of things, so if it is something that interests you, design away or volunteer your character but please read the following before doing so:
For cameo characters:
•Must have some sort of reference.
•MUST NOT STAND OUT TOO MUCH. Sorry, but your green haired Naruto OC isn’t gonna fit into this universe. Basically, they shouldn’t be screaming that they’re the main character of their own anime story. Nothing wrong with that, it just doesn’t fit in here!
•Clothing and hair style must be modern and realistic.
•Must be humanoid (horns, wings, tails, ect will be left out if character is used).
•Must have natural hair color (I can change it if it’s noted somewhere in the description or reference)
•I will be very picky about character cameos, so do not take it personal if I can’t use your character. It’s not because I don’t like it, it’s because it just doesn’t fit into this particular universe
•I WILL EDIT YOUR CHARACTER AS MUCH AS YOU LET ME. In other words, if it really is your green haired Naruto OC you want me to use, I can use him so long as you give me the permission to give him normal hair and get him out of his orange ninja uniform and into normal clothes.
•If your OC doesn’t have a mask I’ll try to give them one that matches the best I can.
For mask designs:
•Must cover eyes.
•Must be able to see.
•Must have a to access mouth for eating and drinking.
•If you give me a mask without color, you’re giving me the artistic freedom to color it as I please.

Extra Notes:
•There is no deadline for this. This comic will be going for years and I will always be accepting mask designs and characters for cameos.
•Characters and masks will be chosen randomly. If you give me a mask today it may be used this chapter or it may be used in chapter 8. It’s random.
•If you explicitly do not want to see your OC harmed, please specify. People die and get hurt in City of Blank and if you are not comfortable with seeing your character as one of them please tell me so that I do not pick it randomly for that roll.
•Subscribing is not required but obviously appreciated, especially if you want to actually see when your character or mask design is used!
IMPORTANT:
If you design me a mask or volunteering a character, you’re giving me the right to use it. I WILL NOT ABUSE THIS BUT but I understand how this may make some uncomfortable. That is fine, no need to volunteer then!
But I assure you it will not be used outside of this comic and most likely not outside of a few pages. You are giving me the right to potentially sell this comic some day with your designed featured in it. I really can’t promise I will be able to give credit to every little mask and background character in this comic should this comic ever be published, so please keep that in mind when volunteering a character or designing a mask. I will give you credit in the first page it is featured in the artist desc, however beyond that it will just be a cameo for you.
And lastly,
QUESTION!: I'm still new to this site and figuring things out. Is there a way to properly tag someone in the description of a page, such as DeviantArt's :devusername: or Twitter and Tumblr's @username? I would love to credit people properly in the first page their cameos are used in.
