my degree was in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing, but I honestly do more embroidery than anything these days when I'm not drawing lol so comics are totally out of my realm of comfort!
Yeah, it's hard to force yourself to do something you struggle to have motivation to do, I get it. That's just how I'm able to do it, I think, just a little more, and I inch along until it's done. It's torturous, at times, but it works for me haha
Ahh, I totally get that, a back issue would make anything difficult. Yeah, just trying to make sure I get enough sleep is getting interesting. But the part-time job is only seasonal, and will be done before November...I think.
I don't think you're lazy, you just need motivation, those are different things! Maybe try changing the story and you'll find yourself excited enough to start on it again! Sometimes that works for me, but it also requires changing the story haha Oh that's so cool! I'd love to have a series launched, even if I was working as an assistant collaborator, that's awesome, congrats! It must be hard to have to set your own series aside for another project, but you should definitely be proud of yourself for being a collaborator on the other project as well, not everyone gets the chance to do that
hang in there and be encouraged! you'll find your motivation and inspiration when you least expect it and will be able to work on your own comic again!
