Low engagement with my comic (comments, reads, and interactions were lower) 😢 What to do?

The past weeks engagement for my comic on Webtoon and Tapas has been lower. And it honestly frustrates me, do you experience the same with your comic? It's just sad to see my readers engagement with my comic significantly lower than before, and there are times it makes me think there's something wrong about my episode update. What to do when you feel so frustrated and bummed about the lack of engagement with your comic?

I have experienced several lulls in my comic’s popularity, those accursed complaints about my atrocious handwriting notwithstanding. On January 10, for example, I received no views at all, and I received only two the next day.

I wonder if it’s because readers are back at school/work now that the holidays are over?

I read a lot of comics over Christmas but now I’m back to work I have no time.

I've also noticed a lull in engagement, and this is what I was thinking too. I was also wondering if less people are coming in from the forums now that the link is sequestered at the very bottom of the front page, and discord doesn't command engagement like the forums once did.

It's very possible it's because people have went back to school or work has got them busy, as I know mine has been tough lately. On my series, I noticed I have the highest engagement in Oct-Dec and also April, oddly. January and last year's February were pretty low for me. It might not have anything to do with you. Your readers might just be a bit busy at the moment.

i have personally experienced this change and it hurts... I started growing very fast and stopped at 150... now I'm 161 and hoping I can make it grow somehow

Why worry? You are writing a story you want to tell. You aren't trying to make a living, so I would write it to completion or else you are doing this all for potentially nothing

And I say this after countless days of 0 views. Still posting chapters away

Well, I can see that you just might be. I meant to speak more on the behalf of others who don't have quite that level of talent and I mean that with all due respect

But for those who are in this for their hobby, I think it's a bit different. Now if the OP WAS doing this for a living, I apologize for assuming wrong. But man... sorry I honestly can't help but think this is a rough arena for everyone here to be in it for a living wage :\

tell me about it dude. Earlier at least tapas seemed to push comics from everyone, now it either has shifted to following a more commercial strategy or i'm overthinking. good luck anyway

I'm weirdly experiencing the opposite?

I don't even pay attention to views, and my regular commenters neither increased nor decreased, but I did notice that I had exactly 1 new subscriber in the month between Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is weird for me because I average 7-10 per month.

And then in the 2-ish weeks between December 26th and January 10th, I got 7. It's like new reader engagement was on a hard pause during the holidays.
