Making webcomics

I have some questions regarding making webcomics as this is my first time.
in tapastic what is the size of a page?
and how many page is in one episode?
what is a good font for typing?
and is there any tips on making a web comic?

• the page size limit is 940 in width and 4000 in length. But that doesn't mean you have to upload in that format. You can have smaller pages, 940x4000 is just the max size you can put here. Anything bigger than that will just cause an error.

• also, the file can't be bigger than 2 Mb

• the max amount of pages per episode is 40, but you can also upload as much as 1 page per episode (a lot of people do just that for the various benefits)

• personally I think every font is good as long as it's easy to read (big enough, letters aren't confusing like t and f, i and l, etc) so that people don't have to move closer to their screen and squint their eyes and don't have to spend 5 min wondering what kind of word is that.

• my tip is to: have fun, have patience and every page you draw will make you better at drawing and figuring things out/experimenting with the first chapter is a normal thing to do.

but what is your recommendation for page size like what do you mostly use?

No problem, actually if you start uploading, the info is right there in the submission page XD

I usually draw my pages digitally, with the width of 1200 pixels (length varies). If I draw big panels, I resize the page to be like 500 or 700 in width. If the panels are small, I want them to be visible enough, so I use from 800 to 1000 in width.
I think 800 is the standard for me.

About the amount of pages, yeah I think 10 is okay. If that's what you want to do, then no prob, go for it.

You can use whatever size page you feel you can work with best. If working traditionally(paper, pencils, inks) you want to scan in your work at 300 dpi. If working digitally( with a program & a drawing tablet) you want to work at 300 dpi or higher.

Like @jutawi said, you can upload as many pages as you want- most creators keep themselves to a schedule(and a certain number of pages minimum) so that they arent taking a lot of time between uploading pages to get art done. You can make your episode as small as 5 pages or as large as 50; it;'s entirely up to you.

I'm not gonna tell you a specific font or set of fonts to use, but you may want to look around and find a font that you feel "fits" your art style and IS legible to read.

Not the only truth out there but if the answers of a nobody can help you

. after several test, I will be sticking with 800 pixel wide picture so that the picture aren't too agressivly big when you watch it on a computer (it till is a bit but I think that's the right size) and are perfectly readable on a phone

. I think updating regularly is more important than updating lots of page in one go, I dedicate the week end to my webcomic and whatever gets done is posted

. For a font, you can search for free one on the web, I use Architect Daughter, I find it elegant plus it allows french writing (since I do my comic both in English and French, it's cool for me), all that to say, if you plan to do stuffs like é, è, ç and all, I fint it a good choice (if you want to check, here is how it looks like on my comic )

. I guess the tips are the same that if you want to draw or do "real" comics : persevere, accept criticism (the argumented one), a good story is better than a good art and when you read comics, stop just being a reader and try to understand why it works (you can do it while watching movies too)
