Manga Studio Help?

After doing a lot of research, I decided to switch from Photoshop CS4 to Manga Studio 5, or as it calls itself, Clip Studio Paint. However, I have been having a lot of problems. The new page interface is very confusing, I can't figure out the brush variants on the pen and pencil tools, and the oft praised stabilizer causes unbearable lag. (I'm using a Wacom Bamboo tablet, and already have somewhat poor hand-eye coordination).

does anyone have links to any good Manga Studio 5 tutorials or tips in general?

MS is confusing in the beginning, but it is a great program.
Try Manga Studio Forums - they cover a lot of topics and folks there are very helpful if you have specific questions. Good luck!

Are you on any video streaming sites when the lag occurs? I found out that running Netflix while in Manga Studio was a huge cause for lagginess.

no, the program as a whole didn't slow down, there was just a significant delay between my hand movements and the cursor moving. Decreasing the stabilizers seemed to solve the problem.

Found this online for someone who had the same issue: "Have you tried the "No delay" option in the Preferences/Cursor screen? Otherwise some of the cursors will follow the stabiliser output instead of the actual pen/mouse input."

Yes that's what I mean, I had that same issue. I decreased the stabilizers and that fixed it for a few days before starting up again. Then I read about streaming video and trying to draw at the same time being an issue.

Oh yeah, the delay thing using the stabilizer happened in all programs I used with stabilizer. If works better when you don't put the stabilizer in a high level.

But Clip Studio Paint still got the best pen/brush/whatever for lineart I ever trying (said a person that hates doing lineart with all her heart)... And the perspective tool, did you use it already? It is awesome o-ó
