Manga update (thoughts?)

I want to post my manga, but I think I can only post one page a week as I don't have that much time to draw due to my crappy minimum paying job. will this be an issue for the readers? I don't want them to ignore or unsubscribe my manga because of the one page update.

My goal is to make it big enough for them to want to support me on Patreon, so one day I can make a decent living of my manga projects. Impossible dream... I know...

Keeping a steady update schedule is far more important than rushing to get out as many pages as possible in the beginning. A page a week is fairly standard for a lot of comics on here, and I've seen plenty of people get successful by updating at that pace. (I actually update at that pace, too.)

Do what you can, and don't kill yourself trying to do more than that. Also, have you made a buffer? That helps a LOT.

I follow 3 webcomics that post only 1 page a week & bring in several hundred a month through patreon. If the story is amazing (and is a popular genre in general), people will stick to it and support the artist! One of them I myself have been following for almost 2 years. They only update 1 page, every friday. And I literally get excited waiting for Fridays to come around lol

I work full-time and try to manage a social and personal art balance. Considering how much work my comic can be and I don't want to rush, I aim at a bi-weekly update.
Except when I'm starting a new chapter, I can sometimes be on hiatus for a few weeks, while I get all the prep work done. (finalizing the script, layout thumbnails and planning/creating the cover)

I don't have a large following, but the online subscribers I do have, 99.9% stick around for my updates. But, still... most of my readers don't read online, they wait for the book to come out.

Just work at a pace you are comfortable with. Burning out is not worth taking a toll on your health.
A good story doesn't happen overnight and takes months or even years of planning.

For me, I personally just have this as a hobby on the side. I do it because I love it.
