Ok got distracted so here we go!
Holo Bot
After advancing the field of robotics and ushering in an era of plenty, humanity continued looking on to the future. The next big thing. And for one lab, that was holographic technology. Creating three dimensional images and constructs out of a combination of manipulated light and force fields. Code name Project Air-IS, this prototype unit showed great promise. It could pick up and manipulate objects or remain intangible. The machine part of of the unit itself was relatively small and could glide around smoothly inside the hologram body, or project it away from itself. The body itself could could not have an overly realistic human form, less the project run afoul of F.L.O.W. Country’s laws on human analogs, but the system is designed with the ability to assume any form needed. In theory the project was close to completing it’s prototype and testing phase…but then the Concert Incident happened… Priorities shifted and the project was literally abandoned as the Red and Blue sides turned their optics to their creators.
Early Postal Bot
Early Postal Bots such as this were designed with a friendly appearance in mind. Since they would often interact directly with humans, this was considered one of the top priorities. The trade off to this though was that their speed and efficiency was severely limited. That being said, it wasn’t uncommon to see several communities insist on using this kind of model. Preferring the aesthetic over the utility. When they were eventually phased out for postal routes, the remaining units were converted into higher efficiency models, dismantled for parts, or repurposed for children’s entertainment. This one is the latter. He and his robot feline companion were featured in their own show, and would even make live appearances. The show was produced by the same company behind Truth Defender Magibot, and other robot centred programs. Like Magibot, it proved to be quite popular and would go on to be the last top rated children’s program in history.
Modern Postal Bot
Speed and accuracy. When you are delivering mail, you need speed and accuracy. The original model of Postal Bot was accurate, but it’s speed was only as good as a human. Because of this FLOW Country went back to the drawing board and revised the design. Their main solution was to replace the traditional bot legs, with their high mobility sphere drive. But this isn’t exactly like the ones seen on the Butler and Maid bots. This one has not only been specially tuned for speed, but it also allows the postal bot to dock with a postal truck and act as a Driver bot for it. The body has also been slimed down some what, allowing for more of them to be placed in one truck. Once at their designated spot, they can all disembark and go out their own parts of the route, returning to the truck in record time. Under ideal circumstances these bots can cover the same ground as an original postal bot but in a fraction of the time.
