Marvel/DC Comic

Has anyone out there ever thought about writing a Marvel or DC comic? I don't mean to write or draw one in the hope is might actually get published, but just for fun? I've had an idea for a Justice League story that was brewing in the back of my mind for a long time now, and I've even written a few pages for it recently. Was wondering if anyone else had hopes or ideas of ever doing such a thing, too.

I feel if I ever did, I would do it in the style of the campy silver age comics. I love the weird concepts of them and I dislike how serious superhero comics are today.

I have thought of doing a romance dc/marvel comic parody but I don’t have time for that.

I didn't until recently.
I was making a wedding present for a friend of mine who loves SHAZAM and I ended up writing this nice little piece about how at the heart of every long-lasting relationship was this ability we have to be able to flip back and forth between being responsible adults and wondrous, starry-eyed children (keeping that spark and passion alive during the worst of times).

When I finished writing it, I desperately wanted to write SHAZAM.

Maybe one day.

To be honest, I'm not sure.

I've thought about it here and there, but I don't know if I could/would.

I've considered the idea of maybe doing freelance for Marvel and/or DC if I could apply for a position, although now, I'm not sure. Even if I did decide to, I've been under the impression that people who make fan works with their characters don't actually get jobs there. Maybe there are a couple of people that have, but I haven't heard of any.

I suppose maybe if I absolutely wanted to, I could try to do one for fun. But until then, I'll hold off on it.

I'm drawing a New Gods story! It's an origin story for my character for now, but I have ideas to expand it later on into the character's full storyline.
