Merging Comics with Novels?

I'm trying to put comic-like inserts into my chapters. It seems like there is a limit on how many/ how large the picture inserts can be in novels. So before going through the painstaking work of adding in more images, I just want to see if it's even worth doing.

I would have thought that a site like this would lend itself to that type of mixed media but I haven't seen it. Has anyone tried to do a light novel or a comic and novel mixed work? Is it something the audience here would want to see or would audiences prefer a purely one or the other situation? Have any of you tried this before?

I placed an example of what I mean in the first chapter of my novel. You don't have to read it to see what I mean because the example is at the beginning of my first chapter:

I think it's definitely something worth pursuing if only to see how far you can stretch the limits of the site and app

Thanks. I can't do it on the other sites I post on and I'd rather merge my art and the novel then make a whole separate comic for it. I didnt write a novel for nothing, but I'm not so confident in my art to do a full comic.

I was having an issue with images in novels because that cap is...kinda small. So I only put in like...one image...and even then sometimes my images are just too large for the update

I noticed you have some longer images in there--how did you get those to fit?

i mean the other options might be turning your novel series into a comic series as well which is what im also doing.

I want to show the freedom I have towards moving pictures around and making different amounts of text in my novel I did back in high school.
Using the comic format (which is what I'm trying to do now) to show off a "visual novel" concept is interesting to experiment on.

@rajillustration I think there's a size limit. I had to resize them down to half of their original size. Like I said, it was a huge pain.

@RyzaCobalion I'm just so not ready for that yet. I don't think I'm skilled enough and I definitely don't have the time.

Has anyone tried to do a light novel or a comic and novel mixed work?

I remember a comic and novel mix while reading watchmen, a comicbook from the 80s, so go for it, some light novels have comics pages instead of illustrations for the occasional non-text page, I don't know why they do that tho.
