Hi I'm still new to All of this and did a few Mermay submissions ( this is the only one I really like but she is such an epic charter to start with https://www.instagram.com/p/CPBpk0hNglK/10 ) and I was wondering with how Big Tapas is and how few submissions there are why more people don't participate? dose it just not make good exposure or is it just the big comics that win the most... really I just enjoyed the art challenge and taking a creative brake from my comic it was really refreshing. Like I said there were only 143 submissions witch seems Really small right? so am I missing something? has anyone who has done this in past years had any good experience with it? any extra info on it or really instagram would be helpful... i'm not really a fan of the gram lol

As a couple of folks have replied to the pinned thread22, I imagine there's a lot more who don't use Instagram and therefore couldn't participate.

When the challenge accepts the posts below it in a thread on the forums, the turnout for submissions is usually a lot higher as seen in a few recent challenges.

thanks for letting me know. I'm surprised that only two people have responded to the official pin thread... like you would think if its the site its self posting everyone would see it hmm. Also I'm glad i'm not the only one that's not too fond of all the different socials

I think it may also be because someone else made a Mermay thread a few days prior and that's where everyone is posting Mermay stuff, at least in the forums.

The Mermay contest was also on twitter--so that's where I submitted mine. Not everyone uses both Insta and Twitter. But Tapastry is still fairly new, so it's a good time to enter these challenges because the pool is way smaller.

I would have loved to participate, but it was announced during the time I was preparing to travel, which was a shame.
