I can't say generally. there is a lot of others factors also: if they are just the two alone, if they are in exterior, if they are in the superior office or just any other room...
From why I know, from one country, the parting after a meeting/conversation salute is only used when a subordinate leave a superior office (salute, half turn, exit) but if those are alone and if they familiar/work all day together, the exit protocol may be skipped.
