My comic Curse lineage is in english but it has a spanish version just the first 2 episodes as i have to find the time to translate the rest.

My comics're originally written in hungarian. I upload it of course in hungarian to my webpage, but I'm curious what foreigner think about them, so having an english verison is important for me There're a lot comic on tapastic in other languages, but I'm always sad, when I find something well-made, but none english translated works.

Come on, post comics in your native language, even if it gets fewer readers.

That is a weird thing to say. Artists put a ton of work into their comics and then choose to publish on Tapastic, because it is much easier to connect to a larger audience. I want my comic to be read, not judged soley by well I can draw.

Creators shouldn't have to change their language to be popular!

I am not changing my language. I am bilingual – that means I can choose which language I want to use for my medium.

The only exception: If an artist uses foreign onomatopoeia or other words that are integrated into the artwork, they should not have to translate and redo them. I love seeing the original language of an artist when it is part of the illustration.

a ver, la persona que lo traduce es amiga mía, su inglés no es perfecto, las 300 páginas me lo ofreció siendo ambos conscientes de lo que había, luego ya para capítulos posteriores lo renegociamos para compensar un poco y poder seguir traduciendo el cómic. esto es lo más asequible que tengo para poder traducirlo XD

My comic Friendly Neighbours was actually only available in Dutch. But had to translate to English to upload it. I hope they will add more languages soon so that we can read ALOT more!

Sure thing! I have mine both in English and Italian and will have them in Spanish, too. Check out the posters above, some already have their comics in Spanish.

Yes there is! Go to your dashboard, edit an episode and you'll see an option called "Add translation".

I offer Johnny Bullet is both French and English on Tapastic like a good old Canadian! On my site, I exhibit both versions clearly and many English-speaking friends of mine just read the French version, not knowing and actually get the comic regardless. On my sites, the stats show that the ration of English/French readers are 5 to 4. This is not bad at all. I'm not sure than other language variations should be hidden or not pushed forward. @shinepaw above mentioned that they didn't try translating her comic in Hungarian.I think she should try and not do a word for word translation. There needs to be a variety of comics. If other Hungarian cartoonist see your work, they may feel encouraged to also translate their work and before you know it, there will be a revival f Hun comics.

I don't recommend word for word translation. I feel that each version's dialogue should be written on its own to capture the nuances of that language. I try to do that in my own comic.
