Moving from Webtoon to Tapas after my content was reported! Feelin lonely! (also, anyone else gone through something similar and want to connect?)

That's true. In their policy here's really nothing about disturbing content other than nudity/violence.... which I think is a good thing, in its own way, because I like a healthy amount of disturbing content in all media and I think it's good to be explored, so I really don't want webtoon to be taking it ALL down. But it does strike me as odd that they'd be so strict about the slightest bit of blood or partial nudity but not other things that could even be potentially way more triggering to certain people....

But yeah, wishing you the best!!! none of us here deserve censorship ;-;

your comic is cool !!! i feel like you've really mastered contrast while coloring in black and white!!! and I'm so glad you're getting some recognition on here. Everyone says engagement on webtoon is better, but i've found that is not at all the case in many circumstances (i haven't reached the following I had on webtoons yet, but I have a feeling I'll surpass it pretty soon!!)

Thanks. Dialogue can be tricky and takes most of my editing time. I'm glad to hear my editing is paying off. FYI might be taking a brief hiatus as I have just moved and gave birth, so the comic pages are a little behind in production. New home and New baby makes a huge change in life for time management and causes a learning curve.

Yeah, it happened to me about two years ago and I called them out on it when they told me why it was taken down. They told me it was mainly because of the gore and I straight up told them that they have featured comics that are literal gorefests with Darbi being one of them and I never got a response after that lol.

Anyway, I'm sorry that happened to you and I hope you will have better luck on here.

so i never posted on webtoon but i heard their guidelines are way to harsh, even if you put mature warning story(well comic) can't be mature? which is pretty dumb if you ask me but oh well, best of luck here and welcome

THE DARBI THING!!! It really annoys me, because the conclusion everyone has come to is that they get away with because they're dinosaurs. But so what?? It's still graphic depictions of gore. And not to knock Darbi or its story (I've never read it) but a huuuge theme of the marketing is JUST about the gore, and when you're known as "the gore comic" it's very weird that the censor-happy webtoon would just go and feature it :[ weirddd website

Yep. It seems weird, like there's very little difference between the mature filter and regular content, if you're just gonna get taken down anyway... (although their censoring seems SUPER random, so even more annoying)

Yess!! Greatly enjoying tapas so far. Seems wayyy more friendly, and even though webtoons has a "bigger audience" it seems lonelier over there, tbh.

i think they wont just go on search for mature things, rather if readers report it? maybe for bigger and more popular comic they will go thru but for small ones i doubt it

Yeah!! Mine got censored at 25 subs. That makes me CERTAIN that someone reported it. It was so strange. Also, the chapter was taken down less than an hour after I posted it. All very weird, not sure who would go and report my comic, barely anyone read it...

Yeah, I've only read some of it and the gore even had me going "WOW webtoon really? "
One of my fellow artist friends on here read further into it than I did and said they saw some rather sexually explicit language in it too but I didn't read further in to see for myself. When I first started posting on Webtoon it wasn't this strict from what I remember and Darbi has been there for a while so that might be part of it but hey as long as it brings in the money they will let it slide I guess and anyone who isn't featured is fair game.

it makes it so hard to research what you can put into a comic on there. with vague policies, all you can do is go searching for examples, but then all those examples are "exceptions" i guess
