Moving from Webtoon to Tapas after my content was reported! Feelin lonely! (also, anyone else gone through something similar and want to connect?)

I never really had a following on Webtoon.... but I adored my comic nonetheless. This has been a passion project since March, currently spanning 16 episodes. Except... graphic content in episode 16 was (a bit unfairly) reported and taken down on Webtoon.

So I am now here to avoid censorship! Re-uploading a few episodes a day until I get caught up. Come on that journey!!! Support and connection in the community would make this transition easier for me :')

(Also, I will not hesitate to readily support anyone who has had a similar experience!)

UPDATE: everything has been re-uploaded!! yay!! i uncensored some of the backgrounds, but other than that, episode 16 remains unchanged.

The same thing happened to me, but I instead uploaded a censored version to get past the censors.
BTW, I made this as an April Fools Joke long before I was forced to make it for mature audiences.

Yeah after I saw that my episode was taken down I was like.... I could probably censor all this.... but what if I actually get more mature with it all and see if it improves my story !! so maybe it was good for me lol ;D

That's what I like to do with my comics, get on the edge of hot topics.
At what point where is the line drawn?
Female nudity isn't okay, but showing a man's butt is A-Okay!
A naked apron is fine if it's on a guy because it's funny and not at all erotic!

Sometimes you gotta break rules to understand them.

Righttt! One of the big things my episode was taken down for was nudity, apparently. Except everything was completely censored. When I emailed them asking about it, I got an automatic message about how to creatively sensor gore and nudity..... all of which I had done. And that's when I decided it wasn't worth it loll

You can always try to censor and negotiate with WT. Posting something on Tapas that didn't cut the censorship on WT doesn't necessarily mean Tapas won't take it down anyway, best of luck here!

I didn't come from WebToons, but I got reported there nonetheless. My speries was indeed spicy, but not as spicy the one I still have up there lol

Oh yeah, Webtoon deleted my comic too! I show a man's butt in the first issue (shocking, I know)
I've considered reuploading with a dumb censorship bar over it, but there's a fair amount of blood and violence in the rest of my comic, and if they deleted me for a butt joke, I can't imagine they'd be chill with the rest of my content

I have not used Webtoon yet. It seems similat to Tapas but also quite different.

righttttt... the reason it was taken down was so stupid that I figured I could probably email them and they'd put it back up. But then I was like... why bother going through that every time??

My comic is very tame compared to a lot of things I've seen, so hopefully all goes well <3333

There's definitely more foot traffic on Webtoon, but Tapas is set up wayyy better in most ways, imo. I'm enjoying it despite everything!

I had that same thought!!!! (for different elements, but yep) I did tons of research on what would be allowed on Webtoon, and I wasn't even worried about anything I had planned up until season 2, when it will get wayyy darker.

And then... webtoon switched up and took down ep. 16, halfway through season 1, the very first episode I put up with even a hint of the horror element I want to include... so at this point, why bother sticking with them !! x)

RIGHT!! That's part of the reason why I wanted to make the move honestly, because there are tons of scenes like that one later on in the comic, and I don't wanna have to deal with that every time.

So weird for a platform famous for its romance comics. ://
