Agreed! I just sort of absorbed it as a kid without fully appreciating it. It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized how much it had grown with me. I remember watching the "Won't You Be My Neighbor" documentary in theaters and just, flat out, ugly crying near the end. I really tried to hold it in- but by restraining myself it just caused an eruption and it got ugly in the worst (and best) way. To just to be reminded of how his lessons (and my parents' love) had had such an impact on me. It was amazing.
@monotone_ink thanks for reminding me of that today. With the day-to-day grind (between work, comics, and parenthood), it's easy to lose track of the important things and not find that time to sit quietly and bask in the beauty of life (and showing the proper kindness to one another). I know that clip really puts parenting in perspective for me today. I'll try to rock the rest of the day, now.
