Music Help - Soundtrack Recommendations

I'm churning out a script about some futuristic android type stuff, and I'm trying to build a good writing playlist to fit that theme. Can you help me out? I'm looking for instrumental stuff only (or with few lyrics because they're distracting). So far it is a playlist full of Daft Punk, it needs to branch out!

If anyone else wants help making playlists that fits the theme of the project they're working on, go ahead and describe what you're doing and I'll try to help. I listen to a ton of soundtracks.

I'd like two steps from hell alot for soundtrack stuff. Idk how much techy stuff there is but it's still great.

Other musical groups like Two steps from hell i listen too are E.S Posthmus, and Gothic Storm.

if you liked those I'd suggest checking out Their other works. They have multiple albums and a mass amount of songs and all of them huve such different feels but just can transport you places.

OH! I just remembered my second favourite song from them. I don't know how well it would fit. But it has some dubstep at the end and the bass drop just hits me right in the chest every time

Awright, very happy to hear it was of some help! I'm a MASSIVE µ-Ziq fan so that just totally tickles me you enjoy him as well. If old school 8bit/chiptune sounds fit the bill, you could check out the work posted at 8bitpeoples. Lots of really cool electronic sounds, some of the artists imitate that crunchy, robotic noise in their albums.

The Piano Guys is a piano/cello duo (in case you haven't heard of them) and they might have something you'd like. They did a piece with Lindsey Sterling (violin) too, if you've heard of her.

well....this is more for anyone looking for "modern classical".... piano and cello renditions of modern music (and brilliantly fantastic, if I do say so myself)

Depends on what type of music you're thinking of to fit "futuristic". I also like things with minimal lyrics, as well as long track that I don't have to manage.

Well, are you looking for a fast-paced action-y futuristic android songs, or laid back, peaceful and almost utopic futuristic android songs? I have a couple of songs in mind but most of them fall into one of those two categories.

I guess it depends on the kind of futuristic you'd like, but
the first things that popped into my head were

Vangelis (particularly the Blade Runner soundtrack)
Ghost in the Shell soundtracks (mostly for the TV series, i hear the original movie OST is good too but it honestly didn't stick in my head as much) ((oh i should probably mention that several of the tracks on these soundtracks have vocals, but it's pretty good eclectic yet futurey stuff overall))
Demoscene music in general

i keep wanting to mention VNV Nation and Covenant, but most of their stuff has vocals >>; but they're very futurey if you're curious. I feel like half of Covenant's songs are somehow about Blade Runner, lol
