Thank you so much for taking a look!
The style that I was going for in this comic was for something that resembled frames of cell animation, so that's why the characters are pretty flat. Still, I will definitely try to remember to add some shadows near their feet and in the actual background, so that the characters blend in a little more.
I'll continue to practice with perspective and backgrounds. They're certainly not my strongpoint. I've only just learned the basics of perspective and before, I was kind of just guessing. The amount of fully fledged backgrounds I've made (other than the ones in this comic) could probably be counted on my fingers ahah. I'm one of those artists that just draw their characters floating on a plain background lmao. That habit doesn't lend itself well to a plot driven comic though, nor the artistic style that I'm going for, so I can't do plain backgrounds. Oh well, I'm fine with not being the best at backgrounds. We all start somewhere and I'm sure that as I continue on with this comic, I'll get better and better!
Again, thank you so much for your little critique, and for following my comic! I'm so used to being on Instagram where it seems like everyone is hostile towards each other. Joining this forum is a real breath of fresh air. Reminds me of being a 10 year old on deviantArt, trading advice with random people on how to draw edgy wolves and stuff xD
