Here is my genius idea for a female-led spy/action-comedy that one day I will write and needs to become a movie. Enjoy!
We have your top female spy (think Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman or any Scarlett Johansson spy character).
Her best friend is your average "school librarian" type who loves her cats, kids, and Jesus, etc. (think Michael Che's Step Mom)
Anyway, the two women meet at a spin class and become BFFs. Despite Spy Lady constantly going on missions, she is 100% committed to supporting her friend and they chat all the time. Best Friend loves to send Spy Lady care packages with lots of goodies and stories about her cats.
One day, Spy Lady's contacts are burned mid-mission, leaving her on her own to save the day. Who can Spy Lady turn to? Best Friend! Together Best Friend and Spy Lady recruit different members of the community to join their rag-tag group of heroes. These heroes include: Helicopter Mom and Teenage Daughter (technical support), Moms who run a hair salon and love thrifting (disguises), Lady whose husband owns a car dealership (transportation), Hot, Single, Sensitive Dad (just because).
Together, they pool their resources to help Spy Lady save the day! (Bonus twist: Best friend has a crush on Hot Dad. She is crushed when she sees Spy Lady and Hot Dad spending time together. Little does she know, Spy Lady is talking up her friend and acting as the ULTIMATE wingwoman.)
I would call this masterpiece, The P.T.A-Team.
