The Final Chapter of My Online Buddy is Officially Out
It feels surreal to finally say this, but My Online Buddy has officially come to an end.
What started as a small, emotional idea about a lonely girl finding connection through an online friendship has turned into something much larger than I ever imagined.
This story has followed Kana, a girl who spent most of her life isolated in a hospital room, and John, a boy whose rough exterior hid someone who just wanted to care. Over 94 chapters later, their bond has changed them both and maybe, in some way, it’s changed us too.
Writing this story was never easy. There were chapters that broke my heart to write and moments that made me smile because I knew the characters had grown. Kana’s journey wasn’t about being perfect, it was about being real. About feeling pain, joy, loneliness, and love all at once. About the fragile beauty of human connection in the digital age.
Seeing readers comment, theorize, and connect with Kana and John every week has meant more to me than I can ever put into words. You made these characters come alive. You gave them meaning beyond the pages.
Now that My Online Buddy has reached its conclusion, I just want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to read, comment, like, and share this story. Your support made every update worth it.
This may be the end of My Online Buddy, but it’s far from the end of the stories I want to tell. Tomorrow Is Coming, a short story which takes place in the same universe as My Online Buddy is out now on Tapas!
So, one last time...
Read the Final Chapter of My Online Buddy now!
Thank you for joining Kana and John’s journey.
And remember, even online, even through words, connections can change lives.
