losing two subs is not dying. it looks like your comic is actually at the very beginning of its life - story and stats wise - so you have nothing to be nervous about.
i can see what you mean abt the art quality changes - theyre not drastic though. theres one really low effort fix you can do to make things look a lot better - to colour, duplicate your lineart and use the fill tool on the lineart layer underneath, leaving the upper lineart layer alone, and adjusting the fill settings so you get zero white gaps. it doesnt matter if you fill in the lines themselves bc you have the lineart over the top - this saves you from having all those garish little white marks that tell your reader you dont know how to colour, and keep your lineart nice and in tact. and its only a few more clicks than before!
that said, its okay to go on a hiatus til your partner is back. you dont need to keep this stuff up to your own detriment, prioritise what you enjoy most and can do best at the moment. if you explain that you need to go on a hiatus, your audience will absolutely understand.
