Hello again! Besides the superhero comic series I'm working on, I was also working with an artist for a manga-inspired comic series, but he couldn't continue the job, however, he does want to form a team where he also helps the new artist draw what characters and world stuff look like.
I had the series picked up twice and both times, it failed so a third time can't possibly be the worse idea, right? xD haha. Now I am forming a team since the world is very huge. There are 2 different artists I'm looking for.
Artist 1: You will be creating the manga series and this is PAID. I prefer to pay $10-15 per page FOR NOW (I'm in college atm in another continent and I'm limited to the number of hours I can work here), but we can negotiate higher. You don't necessarily have to make concept art, but you can if you want to. You'll only get paid for the pages you make.
Artist 2: You will help the other artist create concept art for the comic artist (artist 1) to reference. This is UNPAID, but to be honest, I don't think that's fair unless you know about the series enough to love it and be willing to do it for free so down the line (when I have more money [later 2019] or when the Patreon takes off), you will get paid per picture that's finished, but for now, it's unpaid.
I know not a lot of people would go for the second artist, but it would help the Patreon more if we have work done and released. Now, to the good stuff. What is this series?
Infinite Guardian is series that started out as a machinima (movie/show using a video game) that was inspired by anime. You can watch s here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwQ5grwNMNARLEcLakkEd0AHYjgJBh5tU There are 2 and a half seasons out (I stopped posting content on that channel). I think you can get a better feel for the series if you watch that, however, while I was creating season 2, Youtube Red began and blocked a lot of the songs I used in season 1 and season 2, so I had to deepen the pitch in episodes 6-9 for the rest of season 2 so the songs can stay there. I then figured out which songs wouldn't be copyrighted at episode 10 and onward.
The series focuses on the knights and king of Ashton: King Theodore, Virgil, Alessa, Zane (used to be Zexal), Eli, Strider, Ray, Wulf, Feron, Luna, Gibs, and Yoshi as they handle various tasks present to them. The storyline involves a huge range of characters and covers things like hunters, wars, magic, 'chosen ones', demigods, and friendly banter amongst the characters.
This is how the series is structured:
Machinima had 7 seasons, 2 arcs per season, 10 episodes per season (5 in each arc), 70 episodes.
Comic (2015) had 7 books, 2 arcs per book, 10 chapters per book (5 in each arc), 70 chapters.
Comic (2016) had 7 books, 2 arcs per book, 12-14 chapters per book (6-7 in each arc), 84-98 chapters.
Comic (2018) had 14 books, 1 arc per book, 6-9 chapters per book, 84-126 chapters.
The Comic (2018) is how I want to create this series. All of the series is plotted out. Another great thing about this is that on my tapas account, I'm writing Primal Guardian, a prequel series that takes place waaay in the past. I also have a youtube channel dedicated to the Guardian universe and lore. On my twitter, I post guardian factoids and new artwork. I'm really passionate about this series because it's my baby and I really want it to work out. if anyone is interested for either position, please let me know!
And if you're a writer looking at this post, I a lot of my world building came from the cast that voiced in my series, so I wouldn't mind writers helping me out with lore and world building. Like creatures, ancient ruins, maybe even side stories that they want to share. It's also unpaid haha, but if the team works out really well and the comic series is stable, I wouldn't mind paying a bit.
Well that's all. Mostly looking for artists for this and won't be adding any writers until I get those said artists, but still offer and we can chat. I hope this is enough!
